It’s been 10 years since Hyundai spun off Genesis into its own brand. One of the first models to bear the luxury car label was the G80, which has evolved quite nicely over the years. We spent a week driving the potent and performance-oriented 2025 Genesis G80 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD, and it’s as good as mid-size sedans get.

Genesis continues to make some of the best luxury vehicles on the market. Last year, we drove the Genesis GV80 Prestige and thought it was excellent. For 2025, the high-end SUV has a dynamic new grille, new high-tech headlights, and a new dashboard with an ultrawide display panel. Its sophisticated looks are as good as ever, and it drives like a dream.

Luxury automaker Genesis thinks dogs should be just as calm and comfortable as humans while on the road. Their X Dog Concept is an accessory unit that sits in the cargo area of the whisper-quiet GV70 Electrified SUV. It features a heated dog bed, a ramp, ambient lighting, and an electric shower and hairdryer for cleaning up after muddy adventures.

Genesis makes some of the best luxury vehicles on the road today. The posh and stylish GV80 is currently the brand’s largest SUV, with options for two or three rows of seats. The 3.5T Prestige Signature version has a performance-oriented powertrain, an extravagant interior with high-end materials, and a wide variety of safety and convenience technology.

Genesis is teasing a new Magma performance vehicle line. The closest to production-ready is the GV60 Magma, a souped-up version of their electric crossover with upgraded aerodynamics and cooling, a wider, lower stance, and 21-inch wheels with integrated brake cooling. Inside, it has bucket sport seats with Nappa and suede leather, and body-colored seatbacks.

Genesis revisits its beautiful X Speedium Coupe with a snow-white winter edition of the concept car. Outfitted with a slimline ski rack, custom Anavon skis, and LED fog lights, the electric grand tourer is the perfect ride to take you to and from the slopes. We’re not sure if this means the Speedium is any closer to production, but we sure hope so.

Genesis is on a roll. The impressive, progressive Korean brand has swept awards — biggies like Car and Designer of The Year — for two years running. After getting an advance look at Genesis’ next crowd-pleaser — the 2025 GV80, the brand’s first crossover coupe — we’re astonished that they continue to make all the right moves.

Like its gas-powered brother, the Genesis GV70 Electrified is a fantastic-looking crossover that drives like a dream. The battery-electric version is even quicker, zooming from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and handling just as well. In its top-of-the-line Prestige grade, its plush and quiet interior keeps pace with the finest luxury vehicles.

Genesis has created some exceptional vehicles that blend luxury, style, and performance. The Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept isn’t something you’ll be able to drive on the road, but players of Gran Turismo 7 will soon get to drive this sleek hybrid race car with 1071 hp and 986 lb-ft. of torque, driven by a V6 with a 10,000 RPM redline and a Yasa E motor.

For two consecutive years, our favorite NY Auto Show moment has been the concept reveal at Genesis House. This week the Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept blew us away, not only for its sporty profile, Magma paint, and carbon-fiber-shelled Recaro seats, but because this is no pipe dream: a tweaked version will be produced next year.

When it comes to luxury and performance vehicles, Genesis has been knocking it out of the park since it first came on the scene. Sitting at the pinnacle of the Genesis line is the G90, an exquisite, comfortable, and powerful full-size sedan packed with impressive features that put it on-par or above its pricier European competitors.

Luxury automaker Genesis is showing off this gorgeous electric convertible concept. Its sleek, long wheelbase design combines classic roadster forms with modern styling. Its folding hardtop roof has an integrated moonroof to give the cabin an open feel even with the top up. Fingers crossed they put it into production.

Genesis continues to impress us with every one of its vehicles. The 2022 GV70 knocked our socks off with its deft balance of luxury, performance, vehicle dynamics, and technology. Even with the smaller of two engines, the GV70 is smooth, quick, and more than capable of keeping up with European luxury cars.

Genesis swept the 2022 iF Design Awards, winning four honors: three for Product Design and one for Interior Architecture. Then they topped themselves by unveiling the most jaw-dropping concept car of the NY Auto Show: the X Speedium Coupe, a streamlined preview of the Korean automaker’s next wave of luxury EVs.

The fat-cat sedan at the top of the Genesis line has reached its ultimate form. Its elegant design is highlighted by a sleek new grille, double-bar LED headlamps, and smooth lines across its exterior. Inside, you’ll find premium leather, wood, and metal, a high-tech cockpit, ambient lighting, and dual panoramic sunroofs.

We spent a week behind the wheel of the latest version of the Genesis G70. For 2022, the already stellar luxury sedan has a smooth and sophisticated new look, with a bold shield-shaped grille surrounded by dual-blade LED headlights. The Sport Advanced model we drove looks awesome riding on 19″ black alloy rims.
