Genesis is on a roll. The impressive, progressive Korean brand has swept awards — biggies like Car and Designer of The Year — for two years running. After getting an advance look at Genesis’ next crowd-pleaser — the 2025 GV80, the brand’s first crossover coupe — we’re astonished that they continue to make all the right moves.
The 2025 GV80 coupe was designed by Genesis’ superstar Luc Donckerwolke - the guy behind the Lamborghini Murciélago. The coupe is no Lambo, but it’s sporty and athletically elegant - A sleeker sportback riff on the GV80 SUV. Its engine choices include a 300 horsepower 2.5-liter turbo-4, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that makes 375 horsepower, and a version of that V6 that adds a 48V electric supercharger to make 409 horsepower.
Its distinctive design encompasses a dynamic exterior and a richly finessed high-tech interior. The silhouette — featuring LED headlamps with micro lens arrays and double-layered Crest Grille like the GV80 SUV — makes it look like its moving while sitting still. 
The rear view reveals LED surface-emitting combination lamps and a wide integrated auxiliary brake light on the tailgate. The exterior also sports a centrally-descending rear spoiler and reinvents the wheel with coupe-exclusive 20- and 22-inch spoked wheels.
Inside, we were immediately wooed by the luxe upholstery stitching in coupe-exclusive diamond patterns. With near-future models like the 2025 GV80 Coupe and SUV, it’s no wonder that Genesis’ high style at a lower price is what’s been seducing buyers from cars like the Mercedes-Benz S Class.
