ICON 4×4 has introduced a stripped-down version of its hand-built Toyota truck tribute. The FJ40 Roadster Edition is all about purity of experience. To trim weight, it has no doors, a fabric roof, and no A/C. But it still rocks a 6.2-liter GM V8 that makes 430hp, and a rugged, lifted suspension that’s ready to dominate any terrain.

Tuning experts Hennessey Performance took the 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck, gave it a 6.2L Hellcat V8 engine and an amped up supercharger, making 1000 hp and 933 lb-ft. of torque. It has custom bumpers, 20″ wheels, an upgraded suspension with a 6″ lift, and much more. See it in person at the 2019 SEMA Show.

Chevrolet’s updated Colorado ZR2 off-road truck features a bold and aggressive new fascia and standard red tow hooks, while retaining its impressive Multimatic DSSV dampers, 2-inch lift, wide track, front and rear locking diffs, skid plates, and more. The truck will make its public debut at the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The mid-size truck market is hotter than ever, and almost every manufacturer offers some kind of special off-road package. With the help of the Trail Trek Tour, we put four of the leading mid-size pickups head-to-head on a grueling off-road course built on top of an old coal mine in Pennsylvania’s gritty backcountry.

Expert LEGO builder Sariel shows off an impressive vehicle he put together, a scale model of Caterpillar’s enormous 797F dump truck that weighs over 9 pounds. Thanks to a Mindstorms brain and Power Functions components, it can drive, and has working lights and a functional dump body that can transport a 4.4 pounds payload.

We spent some time in Wyoming putting GMC’s 2020 trucks through their paces, including the Sierra 1500 AT4 on a dirt and rock course. It has a 2” lift, a 2-speed transfer case, Rancho monotube shocks, skid plates, a locking rear diff, and is now available with a 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel, making 277 hp and 460 lb-ft. of torque.

Ford is currently working on a pure-electric version of its wildly popular F-150 pickup. To prove that its drivetrain is just as capable as ever, they set about towing 10 train cars with its prototype, and then filled the train with 42 more F-150s, for a total weight over 1.25 million pounds.

This monster of a Chevy Silverado truck was blessed with a 6-wheel drivetrain, an 8-inch lift kit, a 450 bhp engine upgrade, massive 37-inch BF Goodrich off-road tires, LED lighting and more by the mad minds of Hennessey Performance. It also required a custom-built bed to fit that third axle.

We recently spent the day at one of our favorite off-road spots in the Midwest – Badlands Park in Attica, Illinois. There, we were given free-reign to explore acres upon acres of challenging terrain behind the wheel of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, and 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon.

(LOUD) If you’ve never been to a monster truck rally, you owe it to yourself to view the madness first hand. You could see crazy stuff like this Monster Jam, where driver Neil Elliott managed to not only keep his truck on two wheels and do a moonwalk, but then run it up a ramp backwards.

While it’s not quite as awesome looking as the TRX-4 based Ford Bronco, the Sport version of Traxxas’ rugged off-roader still has amazing ground clearance, portal axles, and is ready to take on any terrain. Measures 21.9″ (l) x 9.8″ (w) x 9.5″ (h). It’s also available in kit form for $50 less.

We’ve seen some amazing remote-controlled vehicles before, but never ones this teensy. Monsterchannel24 shared footage of these 1/87th-scale trucks, excavators, cranes, and other micro machines in action at Germany’s Faszination Modellbau.

Using cardboard for its shell, and popsicle sticks and R/C car parts for its drivetrain, V. Idea created a miniature utility truck with spinning brushes that sweep up lightweight objects from the sidewalk in front of it. Hot glue is a wonderful thing, isn’t it?

The Atlis XT electric pickup truck will be able to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 sec, reach a top speed of 120 mph and have a range of up to 500 mi. It will have a 6.5 to 8ft bed, a spacious front trunk and power outlets. It can be fully recharged in 15 minutes using Atlis’ charger.

Inspired by the classic 1960s truck bearing the same name, the 21st century Jeep Gladiator has the 4×4 capabilities of a Wrangler, with a 5-foot truck bed. It can be equipped with a removable roof, its doors can be popped off, its windshield folds down, and it rides on up to 35″ tires.

Startup Rivian aims to produce a pure-electric, AWD truck that can get to 60mph in 3 seconds, and run up to 400 mi with its 180kWh battery pack. The base 105kWh model should go up to 300 mi. The company is accepting reservations for those interested in the $67,500+ truck.

After putting some mud on the Toyota TRD Pros, we headed to the dusty Nevada desert to put the 2019 Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner TRD Pros to the test as part of our collab with the Trail Trek Tour. The rocky trails were no match for the FOX shocks each vehicle now sports.

Front Runner’s Slimline II roof rack is made from rust-free aluminum with a weatherproof powder coat. The kits are modular for easy adjustment and part replacement. The company offers various accessories for securing items, and you can also use bolts on the rack’s t-slots.

Bollinger’s upcoming B2 truck shares many of the features of the B1 SUV, such as all-wheel drive, 520hp dual motors, hydro-pneumatic suspension, a 120kWh battery pack and more. It also has a patented pass-through door for transporting long items.
