Sony ups its compact superzoom game with the new RX10 III. It has the same 1″ 20MP sensor as the Mk. II, but its lens now maxes out at an insane 600mm. It also has 4K video, Wi-Fi and NFC, optical image stabilization and up to 960fps slow mo. Still no touchscreen though.
Sony presents a PS4-ready alternative to the Oculus Rift. The launch bundle includes an HD OLED headset, with built in motion sensors, 3D audio, a pair of Move controllers, a Playstation Camera, and VR Worlds. Pre-orders start 7am PDT 3/22/16, and start to ship this October.
Sony has phased out the Xperia Z line, and the X Performance is its new flagship (the 4K screened Z5 Premium is still on sale). It has a Snapdragon 820 CPU, 3GB RAM, 5″ 1080p display, an all-metal body, a microSD slot and a 23MP rear camera with hybrid autofocus.

The Z5 Premium has a 5.5″ 4K display, which is such overkill that the media and even Sony’s own people can’t tell the difference between it and a 1080p screen. That said, it does have a 2-day battery life, 23MP camera, and waterproof and dustproof body.

The Xperia Z3+ is just as waterproof as its predecessors but now has a capless USB port. It has a 5.2″ 1080p IPS display, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3GB RAM, 20.7 MP rear camera and 5MP wide angle front camera.
To promote its 4K Action Cam, Sony created this OK Go-worthy video, in which they drove the cameras on a robotic platform surrounded by thousands of moving sticky notes which created a colorful landscape to travel through.
The latest prototype of Sony’s PS4 virtual reality headset has a 5.7″ 1080p RGB OLED, can refresh at 120Hz, and is lighter than the previous model. It also has better head tracking. The production version will be released in 2016. More here.
Sony’s hyping up the X900C series’ thin panel, but it actually has a bulge on its lower half. The real perks of the successor to the beloved X900B are its use of Android TV plus access to Netflix 4K videos and PlayStation Now.
