To promote the Sony RX100 Mk. IV, Thai ad agency Salmon House made this silly commercial that visualizes cameras as people. We’d actually rather have the DSLR though. The dude can take pictures and kick ass.

Sony ups its compact superzoom game with the new RX10 III. It has the same 1″ 20MP sensor as the Mk. II, but its lens now maxes out at an insane 600mm. It also has 4K video, Wi-Fi and NFC, optical image stabilization and up to 960fps slow mo. Still no touchscreen though.

Sony presents a PS4-ready alternative to the Oculus Rift. The launch bundle includes an HD OLED headset, with built in motion sensors, 3D audio, a pair of Move controllers, a Playstation Camera, and VR Worlds. Pre-orders start 7am PDT 3/22/16, and start to ship this October.

Sony has phased out the Xperia Z line, and the X Performance is its new flagship (the 4K screened Z5 Premium is still on sale). It has a Snapdragon 820 CPU, 3GB RAM, 5″ 1080p display, an all-metal body, a microSD slot and a 23MP rear camera with hybrid autofocus.

Sony’s follow up to the stellar α6000 also has a 24.2MP CMOS sensor, but with a staggering 425 phase-detection AF points and 0.05s AF for razor sharp shots. The α6300 can also record video in 4K and shoot stills at up to 11fps and up to ISO 51200.

The Sony MP-CL1 weighs just half a pound and is about the same size as a pocket book. It can project up to a 120″ display with a 1920×720 resolution. It has an HDMI port and lets you mirror Android devices and other devices that support Miracast.

The latest version of Sony’s compact full-frame camera has the same 42.4MP CMOS sensor that’s in the α7R II for crisp shots and a wide ISO range. The RX1R II also has a retractable OLED EVF and an optical variable low-pass filter that can be set to off, on or high.

A highly customizable universal remote control. Thanks to its E-ink touchscreen and customizing app, you can choose to include only the controls you want per device, or even place buttons for different devices on one page. Sadly it’s exclusive to Japan for now.

PlayStation pats itself on the back for its 20th anniversary in North America. The video looks at the console giant’s past, present and future, though they glossed over the sorry states of the PSP and PS Vita. Watch them unbox a sealed original PlayStation here.

The Z5 Premium has a 5.5″ 4K display, which is such overkill that the media and even Sony’s own people can’t tell the difference between it and a 1080p screen. That said, it does have a 2-day battery life, 23MP camera, and waterproof and dustproof body.

The limited edition Star Wars PS4 console has the image of Darth Vader and the Star Wars logo printed all over the top, and the controller’s colors are based on Vader’s chest plate. Comes with SW: Battlefront or Disney Infinity.

The king of point-and-shoots returns with an even smaller body, thanks in part to its 20.1MP 1″ Exmos RS CMOS sensor. The RX100 Mk. IV can also shoot 4K video for up to 5min. at a time and full HD slow motion at up to 1000fps.

The Xperia Z3+ is just as waterproof as its predecessors but now has a capless USB port. It has a 5.2″ 1080p IPS display,  64-bit Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3GB RAM, 20.7 MP rear camera and 5MP wide angle front camera.

To promote its 4K Action Cam, Sony created this OK Go-worthy video, in which they drove the cameras on a robotic platform surrounded by thousands of moving sticky notes which created a colorful landscape to travel through.

The latest prototype of Sony’s PS4 virtual reality headset has a 5.7″ 1080p RGB OLED, can refresh at 120Hz, and is lighter than the previous model. It also has better head tracking. The production version will be released in 2016. More here.

Sony’s hyping up the X900C series’ thin panel, but it actually has a bulge on its lower half. The real perks of the successor to the beloved X900B are its use of Android TV plus access to Netflix 4K videos and PlayStation Now.

Insert Coin Clothing has officially licensed 20th anniversary PlayStation unisex apparel. Both the varsity jacket and the basketball jersey bear the console’s color, the four-color logo and the number 20.

The FDR-AX33 is the most compact 4K Handycam yet. It has a 1″ Exmor R CMOS sensor, 12x optical zoom and balanced optical image stabilization. It can shoot 3840×2160 video at 30/24fps and 1920×1080 video at 60/30/24fps.

The newest version of Sony’s 24.3MP full-frame mirrorless camera adds 5-axis optical image stabilization for both still images and video. The α7 II also has up to 30% faster autofocus than the α7. Hits Japan & Europe 1/2015. U.S. TBD.
