A trio of dopey, self-absorbed pals get together for the holidays, and reunite with a woman from their past. There’s just one problem – she’s a ruthless killer. Eric Koeppel and Ally Maynard’s darkly comic short film is filled with hilarious lines and solid performances.

A boy finds himself trapped in an endless series of encounters with a noisy monster as he tries without success to get a good night’s sleep. MegaComputeur Animation’s latest short film has a simple premise, but is extremely well executed.

A wonderful fan film follow-up to the 1980s classic Gremlins. Writer and director Ryan Patrick manages to pay homage to the original, retaining its darkly comic spirit, charming practical visual effects, and adding a fun new twist to the story.

Two foes beat each other senseless with every trope in the books in Alaska’s amusing short film packed with action, vibrant visual effects, and references to a wide variety of sci-fi, action, and fantasy films and TV shows. The only thing it’s missing is a post-credits sequence.

Animator Michał Sawtyruk’s 30-second short left us wanting to see so much more, but his illustration style and concise story is just too good not to share. We’d love to see a longer version that shows us what’s next for the lady in the tub.

GBS introduces us to Manuel Juraci Vieira, a beekeeper with an unlikely companion – his donkey, Boneco. Boneco helps with the honey harvest while wearing his own homemade beekeeping suit. Now that’s something you don’t see everyday.

Tim Searfoss’s animated short about a factory worker, whose job is to press a single button. One day, the worker’s career takes a good turn when he gets a chance to save his boss’ ass. Searfoss said he spent 1.5 years making the short to vent his frustration at work.

Director Neill Blomkamp (District 9, CHAPPiE, Elysium) is back with another visually-stunning CGI short film from his indie Oats Studios project. This is just a 2-minute tease of what they’re calling “a huge galactic story” We really hope we get to see more of this.

(Gross) Frogs begin popping up and exploring an abandoned mansion. As the camera follows the critters, the mood seesaws between slapstick and spine-chilling. Illogic’s critically-acclaimed computer animated short is a hell of a ride.

(PG-13: Language) A totally average man falls hook, line, and sinker for a cheeseburger, and ends up being interrogated by aliens looking for answers to important questions about carbon-based lifeforms. It doesn’t weirder than Daniel Bracey’s sci-fi comedy short.

A woman finds herself trapped in a temporal loop after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious agency and locked away in a prison cell. Olga Osorio’s short science fiction film about time and memory takes inspiration from the classic La Jetée, which inspired Twelve Monkeys.

We’re in awe of the mood that’s set in Robin Joseph’s short film about a fox who stumbles onto an unlikely sight while wandering one of the most beautifully illustrated environments we’ve ever seen in animation.
