Jim Frommeyer and Teague Chrystie celebrate the Holidays with a nod to the hilarious eccentric snowmen that Calvin likes to build. Also as far as we know Bill Watterson is still very much alive.

Fans of Terry Gilliam will appreciate the director’s warped sensibilities in this animation done using his trademark collage animation style all the way back in 1968. He’s brought joy to the world, indeed.

Jeff Gurwood replicated the classic opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark using action figures. It’s not the smoothest stop motion clip we’ve seen, but the devil is in the details with this one.

For Stephen Neary, deer are man’s best friend. And his worst enemy is his own soul. This bizarre, yet heartwarming video is one of the animated shorts included in the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Chang Dai’s animated short is all about motion and carefree play, starring a lively and curious tiger. Bouncing around really is what tig(g)ers do best. Grabbing a foothold? Not so much.
