Filmmaker, animator and illustrator Malcolm Sutherland pays tribute to the radical reptiles we know as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with this no-frills, martial arts focused short.

Robot overlords PX-Micron and Calculord 3 do their best impression of ATHF’s Mooninites in their quest for world domination, from their evil lair – located somewhere between the bench and the bin.

Fans of the classic Evil Dead horror series will immediately fall in love with Daniel Kanemoto’s animated tribute which ironically has much higher production values than Sam Raimi’s original films.

A fan music video of John Mayer’s song Queen of California made using only the Draw Something app. Jimmy Thompson made the drawings while Ed Cardenas edited the video. The Mayer approves.

The opening credits to Star Trek (The Original Series) get a lovingly updated typographic and animated treatment by The Quintek Group – which happens to sound like an alien race on the series.

(NSFW) A fantastic animated short by Albert’t Hooft and Paco Vink. Little Quentin may seem pretentious, and it takes a while to hook you in, but it’s actually sincere and worth watching.

While this animation was done with CGI and not actual LEGO, VFX’s short film is still sufficiently impressive that any fan of Inception (or LEGO) should take 2 minutes out of their day to watch it.

A graduation production by students from the Multimedia and Animation Arts at the National Taiwan University of Arts, Murder is a grim tale of repression akin to Memento and The Prestige.

Martin Woutisseth created this animated tribute to Tim Burton, beautifully capturing the spirit of his films. We like Edward Scissorhands best, which is no surprise since it’s still our favorite Burton flick.

(NSFW) A film by Alek Wasilewski about a world where the only ticket to a good life is a literal ticket. But what is a “good life” in a dystopia that combines the worst of Orwell’s and Huxley’s fears?

Travis Betz (aka TheReceptionist) tipped us off to his take on the trailer for Prometheus, using nothing but ink, paper, glue and tape. Maybe Hollywood should try this technique instead of 3D.
