It’s Minifigs blowing up Minifigs in this action-packed Lego stop motion by YouTube user Keshen8. There’s so much going on from start to finish that you’ll barely have time to blink.

Steve Carrell’s supervillian Gru gets help from three bonus short films starring his army of wacky Minions in this Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo pack. While it’s no Pixar flick, it’s still a crowdpleaser.

We don’t know much about this short Polish film, except that it’s written and directed by Damian Nenow, produced by Platige Image, and it looks damn sweet. We hope it gets an English version.

We’re enjoying Thought of You, Ryan Woodward’s fluid and beautifully choreographed 2d animation; we’re also scratching our heads and wondering why it won’t be shown at Sundance next month.

This live-action/CGI flick is about Fred, a slacker rabbit (James Marsden) who must take over for the Easter Bunny (Russell Brand) when he accidentally injures him. The teaser tells us none of that.

Bob Zemeckis heads into the uncanny valley again, producing Disney’s CGI mo-cap flick, starring – get this – Seth Green as the story’s 9 year-old protagonist, Milo. Based on Berke Breathed’s book.

The guys at NMA World Edition have put together this brief animated film to explain the concept of Black Friday. For some reason, it looks more like Dead Rising than we remember it.

This brilliantly illustrated, thoroughly entertaining tale of a hungry mutt’s trip through Chinatown combines hand-drawn animation from Shanghai with 3D effects and backgrounds from Australia.

A zoetrope uses slits and motion to make pictures blend and give the illusion of motion. Pixar made a zoetrope at Disney’s California Adventure Park, but they used sculptures and strobe lights instead.

Disney has released the first official trailer for Cars 2: World Grand Prix: looks like Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater will experience lots of international intrigue. In theaters Summer 2011, in 2D and 3D.

This incredible video by Ionut Negrila and Mihai Calota for Subcarpati was made by taking over 5000 long-exposure stills of hand-placed lighted stencils to form one continuous animation.

One of the most hated characters in the Star Wars universe stars in this short film, which shows what could have happened in the original trilogy if Jar Jar Binks was there to mess things up.

This short by Ariel Lopez gives us a peek at his quirky animation style, and a creepy zombie flick lurking around the corner. Too bad the full film won’t be ready for tonight’s Halloween festivities.

Susanne Wohlfahrt and Marcus Blättermann’s funny take on the eternal struggle of cats and mice is as over-the-top as Tom and Jerry and Itchy and Scratchy, but not quite as balanced.

We barely get a glimpse of the eponymous Cars in this trailer, but we’re still happy to know that Pixar has a second flick in the works. Hits June 24, 2011, with the usual pre-release hoopla, we’re sure.

We just witnessed the 33 Chilean miners rescued from the most dire of underground circumstances. Well, it turns out there was one more miner down there, and he just came to the surface.

The animators at Kompost created this video for Airpushers (the funk duo behind Black Eyed Peas). It’s the simplest of concepts, executed with the utmost of artistry. The song is pretty catchy too.

James Benson’s project is finally complete. The Red and Blue teams enact an emergency ceasefire to dance to Gonna Make You Sweat. There’s too much awesomeness here for just one viewing.

Yeah it’s a sappy video about love, but hey, we’re men, not rocks. We do deal with this stuff. Watch it with your dearest and think back to the early days, when all that mattered was the two of you.

If Nickelodeon and Pixar remade Johnny English, they’d probably come up with something like the beautifully wacky Salesman Pete created by Marc Bouyer, Anthony Vivien and Max Loubaresse.
