Guinness World Records introduces us to Gary Duschl, a man with an obsession for Wrigley’s chewing gum. Over the last 54 years, he has folded more than 2 million gum stick wrappers to create a woven paper chain. Each day he’s added more than five feet to his chain, which currently measures more than 20 miles long.

Guinness World Records looks back at some of the many bests that were achieved in a year that was otherwise one of the worst. From the longest legs on the planet to the world’s first retractable lightsaber to the longest dog conga line, there’s plenty to celebrate and enjoy in this awe-inspiring video compilation.

It’s tricky enough to stack Jenga blocks normally. But there are some folks out there who go far beyond the ordinary block stacking and use the wooden planks to create complex structures. Jenga expert stacker Captain Noodles managed to stack 518 planks, all balanced atop a single vertical plank. Time-lapse video here.

Motion artist Henning M. Lederer is back with another cool animated clip. This time, he didn’t just use book covers, but he included some eye-catching designs from vintage record sleeves as well. The electronic music track by Tilman Grundig fits the structured, geometric imagery perfectly.

As part of the festivities at the 2020 Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival in Colorado, the pyrotechnics experts from Steamboat Fireworks bested the previous world record for largest firework shell by launching a 62-inch explosive package sky-high, illuminating the night skies for miles around.

Tractors are typically slow-moving behemoths. Williams Formula 1 teamed up with heavy equipment maker JCB to prove that isn’t always the case. This Fastrac tractor packs a 7.2L diesel engine, making 1000hp and 1843 lb-ft. of torque, upgraded with a ZF 6-speed manual, and other racing enhancements. Its top speed: 103.6 mph.

(Loud) The guys at UK handling company Exporta Global decided to make some supersize dominoes, placing 1377 individual plastic shipping pallets on their sides, then knocking them all over. This is so what a 9-year-old boy would do if set loose in a factory.

There are lots of ways to get yourself into the Guinness World Records without risking life and limb, but some people live for danger. RealLifeLore takes a look at the deadly quest for the highest speed on water, and the many times people have died trying to exceed it.

32 stunt performers put on an incredible show of courage, as each of them donned a firesuit, slathered on fire gel, and were lit ablaze to set a new Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous full-body burns. Each person had to remain on fire for at least 30 seconds.

Japanese performer Yuya Yamada aka “Hoopman” uses every ounce of his core strength to spin this enormous aluminum hula hoop that measures just shy of 17 feet in diameter. He went on to set a Guinness World Record by spinning the thing six times.

14 students from Japan’s Fuji Municipal Harada elementary school worked together to set a new record for the most skips by a team over a single jump rope in 60 seconds, getting their feet over the spinning rope 225 times without a miss – or about one jump every 1/4 second.

Japanese breakdancer Ashitaka recently attempted to break two World Records in his chosen field – the most consecutive one-handed jumps, and the most elbow hops. Our palms and joints hurt just watching him do this. Watch now and see if he achieved his goals.
