Instructables contributor Mikeasaurus shows off his ridiculously dangerous looking creation, a skateboard which leaves a fiery trail in its wake. It drips out a small amount of fuel triggered by a foot-controlled switch, and ignites it with an electric sparker. Full build log here.

Girl Skateboards‘ love for analog film manifests in its latest collaboration. The skate company worked with Kodak to create seven skateboard decks adorned with the logos of Kodak’s 35mm films. The collection also includes clothing and headgear.

Crafter Luke Reed self-admittedly isn’t a wood lathe expert, but we’re still impressed with the results of his first ever lathe project – taking a stack old skateboard decks, laminating them together, then shaping them into a wooden beer bottle.

Waterborne’s surf adapter is a skateboard front truck add-on that makes skating more akin to surfing. It lets you make much tighter turns, makes carving and turning smoother, and provides improved grip around curves. It comes with a riser for the rear truck.

Alder + Ash presents a beautifully handcrafted mini cruiser board, lovingly made from a reclaimed oak whiskey barrel. It rides on 59mm Bones “all terrain” wheels with red bearings, and sports independent Bullet trucks.

Go inside a factory where they manufacture polyurethane skateboard wheels. After using CAD tools, metal molds are milled for the liquid plastic, which is baked, polished, and printed with a design. As one commenter suggested, aluminum wheels would look pretty sweet.

Spanish skateboard craft shop Skate-Home makes lamps out of skateboard decks. One of the shop’s designs is inspired by the radical Mattel Hover Board from Back to the Future II. The deck can be displayed horizontally or vertically, and it has a 7W LED light source.

Now you can carry a longboard with less trouble, thanks to the BoardUp Foldable Longboard. It has a hinge mechanism that unlocks and folds the board when you push on its nose at an angle. When unfolded, the hinge locks to ensure you’re safe while riding.

Adam Savage and Tested went to the California factory of Future Motion, the makers of the Onewheel self-balancing electric skateboard. Adam got a tour of the factory and in the end built a Onewheel+ XR, the new model that has an extended range of up to 18mi.

Designed in collaboration with Stampd founder Chris Stamp, IKEA’s SPÄNST is a collection of home goods for active urban residents. Dominated by black and white and thin lines, some standouts include LED sticks, a shoe/skateboard rack, and a skateboard.

Boosted’s new entry level electric skateboard doesn’t sacrifice on quality or style. The Boosted Mini has a concave design and a kick tail for easy maneuverability. It has two versions: one with a 7mi range and one with a 14mi range.

The Hover-1 Cruze is the world’s first electric skateboard that doesn’t need a remote control to function. You simply step on its rear footpad to activate its 150W motor. It goes up to 8.5mph and lasts up to 5mi per charge.

Unlike most electric skateboards, the StarkBoard doesn’t need a remote control or trigger to work. You use it just like a regular board, shifting your weight to change directions or even move backward. It also automatically stops when you get off.

This dope skateboard deck is part of Kidrobot’s Transformers vs. G.I. Joe collection, based on the retro overload comic book series by writer and artist Tom Scioli. Limited to 100 pieces, the deck features original art by Scioli himself.

Bureo makes skateboards with decks that are made from waste fishing nets that are retrieved and processed with the help of locals in fishing communities in Chile. The decks have a fishtail and grippy scale patterns that are both thematic and functional. Available in two sizes.

Kuickwheel’s electric skateboards are incredibly affordable, but they’re not just for penny pinchers. The Serpent-C is the smallest electric skateboard at just 18″ long, while the Serpent-W is a longboard filled with safety features such as LEDs and an aluminum alloy deck.

Etsy store Potaito Boards makes longboards out of reclaimed wood. White oak and walnut make up the core, sandwiched by horizontal planks of walnut, cherry, mahogany or maple. The boards come in two types: one for carving and one for cruising. You can also buy just the decks.

Inyo flip. Japanese skate shop Evisen Skateboards worked with artist Usugrow to create three decks with art inspired by Buddhist texts, while artist Toshikazu Nozaka designed a pair of decks featuring creatures from Japanese folklore.
