That’s no typo, and it’s not April Fools. The Nintendo 2DS is just like the Nintendo 3DS, except it doesn’t fold, it has no 3D viewing feature and it only costs $130. Drops 10/12/13 (same day as Pokémon X & Y).
We don’t recall the beach level in Super Mario Bros. but it looks like a welcome break for these guys as they jump off walls, over pipes and smashing into question mark blocks. Mario also needs to keep his hat on.
You’ll have to blow on the cartridge to start the game, but these pixel-perfect stop-motion animations of the first few levels of Donkey Kong by GuizDP are well worth the wait. The whole thing was made from melted Perler beads.
We’ve seen what Super Mario Bros. is like in 3D, but what if the game’s graphics were replaced by high definition illustrations? That’s exactly what João Victor G. Costa did. The awesome end result looks a bit like Braid.
