Ultimate NES Remix for the Nintendo 2DS/3DS tosses you into fast-paced challenges based on classic 8-bit games, mashing up bits and pieces of 16 NES games, including Super Mario Bros. 3, Metroid, Kid Icarus, and Excitebike.

Smosh Games takes on the crazy fun multiplayer franchise that is Super Smash Bros. (aka “Nintendo’s Hunger Games”) – in which you can live out your darkest fantasies of cute and cuddly characters playing Fight Club.

The latest trailer for the Wii U exclusive Mario Kart 8 shows off two of the game’s new items – the Boomerang and the Piranha Plant. The infamous Rainbow Road also returns with a new paint job. More here.

You’ll love Pete Hottelet’s oven glove. It’s so bad its awesome. Designed to look like Nintendo’s infamous NES peripheral, the glove is made of heat-resistant silicone rubber. There’s currently no left-handed version though.

An accurate rendition of the music and sounds of Super Mario Bros. played on a Chinese wind instrument called the Sheng that predates the 30-year-old game by 3,000 years. We’re wondering if Miyamoto was inspired by its sound.
