Awesome Land Rover Defender

Making its official public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the high‑performance 2025 Defender OCTA will show why Land Rover is calling it the toughest and most durable Defender yet — off-road and on — with a 4.4‑liter Twin Turbo mild‑hybrid V8 producing 626 hp and 553 lb‑ft of torque. In testing, it delivered the goods, going 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 sec.

Following up on the now-retired LEGO Technic Defender, LEGO and Land Rover have revealed a model based on the classic 2-door, 1983 Defender. The 2336-piece kit features a working suspension, winch, and steering and comes with a fire extinguisher, jerry cans, a toolbox, mudguards, and more. Coming 4.3.23.

The latest addition to the Defender family stretches the luxury off-roader by more than 13 inches to accommodate more passengers and cargo. Despite its increased length, the Defender 130 is still impressively capable off-road while offering the luxury and comfort we’ve come to expect from Land Rover.

Land Rover’s most capable SUV gets a three-row, 2+3+3 seat configuration. At 13.38″ longer than a Defender 110, it can hold up to 80.9 cubic feet of cargo with the seats down. It has standard electronic air suspension for everyday comfort and off-road prowess, plus a panoramic sunroof with a second sunroof above the third row.

This limited-edition Defender pays tribute to the 1993 Defender 110 First Edition. The loaded Defender 110 P300 S is painted in Fuji White with 18″ gloss white steel wheels, an Expedition roof rack, classic mud flaps, a deployable ladder, and more. Inside, you’ll find ebony leather seats and a white powdercoat cross-car beam.

Inspired by the Defender Works V8 Trophy, Land Rover will make just 220 of the 2022 Defender Trophy Edition. Based on the Defender 110 P400 X-Dynamic SE, it has a special yellow and black wrap, black trim and wheels, air suspension, an 11.4-inch touchscreen, the Cold Climate, Off-road, and Advanced Off-road Capability packs.

We had a great time behind the wheel of the new Land Rover Defender. It’s a rugged, capable, and handsome ride that’s surprisingly smooth. Woodworking Art saw something in the Defender 110 X that he liked too, and decided to make it a subject for his masterful wood carving skills.

Land Rover amps up its new Defender with twin-turbo V8 versions of the Defender 110 and Defender 90, cranking out 518hp, with 22″ alloys and quad exhaust. Inside, you’ll find Miko Suedecloth and Robustec accents. The V8 Carpathian Edition has metallic grey paint, a black roof, hood, and tailgate, and a satin-matte protective film.

Expert modelmaker Luke Towan shows off how he built a tiny HO-scale replica of a Land Rover Defender. What makes the miniature so impressive is that it not only is motorized, but can be remotely controlled to drive along tiny roads. He bought the model in kit form from Tiny 4×4, but it’s definitely an advanced build.

Land Rover’s rugged off-roader is back. It comes in 2-door (90) and 4-door (110) models, with a highly-configurable interior, twin-speed transmission, advanced terrain management systems, electronic active differential, air suspension, and can wade in up to 35.4″ of water. Choose from a 3.0L 395hp I6 MHEV or a 2.0L 296hp turbo I4.
