We were never ones to color inside of the lines, so we can appreciate illustrator Jordan Persegati’s out-of-the-box reinterpretation of Disney’s Frozen Ultimate Colouring Book, which he transformed into a demonic work of horror, complete with trypophobia triggers.

To add to the replay value of Capcom’s Resident Evil Village demo, MarcosRC created a mod for the PC version that replaces the game’s creepy monsters with something even more terrifying: Barney the purple dinosaur. We can almost hear the pained echoes of “I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family” in the distance.

Deftones enlisted The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell to bring to life this unnerving music video. Actress Cleopatra Coleman stars as a woman who must pass a series of tests in order to gain access to an extremely exclusive club. We’re just not sure why anyone would want to go in there.

Saarland University researcher Marc Teyssier created the creepiest webcam we’ve ever seen. The Eyecam uses six servo motors to realistically replicate the movements of a human eyeball, eyelids, and eyebrow, staring down its subject and making sure they are paying attention during Zoom calls.

An upcoming puzzle game from the makers of Machinarium and Creaks, Happy Game is a horror-adventure that puts players in control of a little boy whose world is turned upside-down by nightmares, and the creepy smiley faces and bunny rabbits he meets as he tries to escape. Coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch spring 2021.

And the 2020 award for creepiest Kickstarter goes to… Neon Culture’s What’s Your Face LED Mask. This programmable costume lets you replace your face with another with the tap of your phone screen. It has over 2,000 individual LEDs which can be used to display one of a number of digitized faces or animated effects.

We’ve seen some realistic animatronics in the past, but scientists continue to work on ways to make robots even more lifelike. Engineers from Disney Research have been working on a robot with realistic facial movements that can react to humans it monitors using a 3D camera. Too bad it’s terrifying with the skin off.

Naturally, really bad stuff starts happening, and their Christmas is ruined as the toys left behind start coming to life. Stream it just in time for Halloween on 10.27.2020.

We’ve all heard a billion and one covers of Toto’s Africa by now. Though we have to hand it to Kestrel Tapes for his unique spin on the hit song. Played in a minor key, and accompanied by salad tongs, the track takes on a creepy new vibe that sounds like it came from a horror movie soundtrack.

Based on Matt Ruff’s 2016 novel, this creepy TV series follows a man, his friend, and his uncle, who head off on trip into a the worst parts of 1950s America in search of his missing father. But are the monsters or the racists they encounter in Lovecraft Country more horrific? Premieres 8.16.2020 on HBO.

LEGO builder Slekk024 is hoping to get his creepy crawly model of an emperor scorpion put into production. The brick-built sculpture is based on a real creature that grows as large as 9″ long, and glows under UV light. The model is made from 694 parts, and has around fifty articulated joints, including legs, pincers, and tail.
