Marvel is releasing animated shorts about the origin stories of the Guardians of the Galaxy to promote their upcoming Disney XD TV show. First up are Star-Lord and Groot. They don’t exactly reveal much, but they’re still fun to watch.

Two policemen in a world of anthropomorphic animals recap one of their solved cases in this charming combination of text and animation. Sheridan College student Melody Wang made the short film in Toonboom Harmony and Photoshop.

It’s been a while since TomSka dropped one of his madcap animations on our doorstep. As usual, it’s packed with overly literal people, explody bits, and general silliness. If that’s not enough, there’s an asdfmovie comic book on the way.

Strong Bad warns Homestar M.S. Runner that their very existence is in danger because the world wants Adobe Flash, the thing wot creates them all, to go away ASAP. But Homestar’s more concerned with dad jokes and his dating profile.

Disney’s The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki box set includes Blu-ray copies of 11 Miyazaki films, including The Castle of Cagliostro and The Wind Rises, plus an art book and other bonus videos. Drops 11/17/15.
