Stuart Semple’s Culture Hustle is known for making the pinkest pink paint available. He sells it at an affordable price too. Now he’s helping make the blackest commercially available black paint, and wants everyone to get their hands on it as well.

Next time you need to paint your walls, instead of going to a hardware store check out Backdrop. They offer adhesive-backed samples so you can stick them to your wall. Their selection is limited but varied, with descriptions that won’t make you tear your hair out.

Like Ant-Man with a paintbrush, artist John Brosio likes to play with proportions in his works, incorporating larger-than-life versions of animals and everyday objects juxtaposed with realistic images of suburbia. You can find limited edition prints of his works here.

Musician Jamie Dupuis turns in a great cover version of the Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black, performing the 1966 rock classic on his carbon fiber Emerald harp guitar, which produces a wonderfully layered sound that combines both lead guitar and bass sustain sounds in one.

We first came across artist Alexey Zakharov aka seccovan when he created a full CG version of the world of Futurama, and then his wild 3D update to vintage imagery. But he also has an interest in transforming works of art into versions with motion and depth.

Makeup artist Mirjana Kika Milosevic likes to doll herself up in all sorts of incredible looks. Watch as she transforms from a beauty to a beast as she becomes the evil doll Chucky, complete with gaping wounds and a chunk taken out of his bashed-in head.

Gav and Dan toy about with a duo of custom-built rigs which can fire thousands of paintballs at a time, like pellets from a shotgun. They make a horrible mess, and look awesome in slow motion – especially that color mixing face-to-face shot at the end.

The Slow Mo Guys subjected themselves to a massive blast of paint, transforming the outlines of their bodies into a work of modern art. The 4K footage is quite spectacular as the colorful paints spray out and mix together on the way towards their intended targets.

Business Insider UK shows off some the art of Patrick Hughes. In his “Reverspective” paintings, sections of the canvas project outwards making closer objects seem further away, and further objects seem closer. More trippy business here.

Art dealer Philip Mould is removing the varnish from an unidentified painting that was made in 1618. Supposedly applied to the painting 200 years ago, the varnish has caked into a thick brown coat over the colors and details.

Bare Conductive’s Electric Paint Kit comes with an LED light, conductive paint and paper templates. It lets you make a touch-sensitive lamp, a motion-sensitive lamp and a dimmable lamp, no tools or computer needed. You can also use the LEDs in more complex projects.

It took quite a bit of trial and error for The Slow Mo Guys to get two paintballs to hit each other in mid-air, but the final result was more than worth it. After all, explosions of paint always look sweet in slow-motion.
