The members of Korea’s MayTree continue to wow us with their ability to produce richly-layered music using only their voices. Now that Disney+ has reeled us in with The Mandalorian, they’ve started work on their next Star Wars series. This promo for the upcoming Rogue One prequel brings back Diego Luna’s character Cassian Andor and provides a small glimpse of the work going on behind-the-scenes. The initial 12-episode run hits sometime in 2022.

One of the many things we love about The Mandalorian is how they show concept art in the closing credits. This 256-page hardcover book lets you give some of these images a more permanent home. The book is packed with art and sketches, along with interviews with the cast, crew, and creative team behind the Disney+ series.

LEGO and Star Wars team up for a holiday feast to celebrate Life Day. The animated special reunites Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose, and the droids, and pays tribute to classic Star Wars moments, including the so-bad-it’s-good 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. Coming to Disney+ 11.17.2020.

I Like To Make Stuff teamed up with The Smugglers Room to build a piece of custom Star Wars-inspired furniture that holds a large TV and server rack filled with audio and video equipment. The finished piece looks like something from inside of the Echo Base control room and would make a great design for an arcade cabinet.

Model maker Boylei Hobby Time shows us how with a little creativity and skill, off-the-shelf model kits can become so much more. For this build, he took a miniature X-Wing Fighter and a duo of TIE Fighters, and brought them to life using LED filament lights to simulate lasers, and a little steel wool to create a spark effect.

’80s kids might remember Atari’s classic Star Wars arcade machine. The sit-down cabinet version always had a line at our local arcade, and it’s become quite collectible, with prices upwards of $7,000. Retro Recipes decided to replicate the machine using parts from 1upArcade’s $400 standup version of the game.

Back in the ’80s and ’90s, NPR produced a series of broadcasts that retold the original Star Wars trilogy as a radio drama. Using original audio recordings of the series, combined with movie music and sound effects, Nigel Langes compiled all of the episodes into a playlist of three videos, running about 11 hours in total.

What happens when you replace the F-14A Tomcats in Top Gun with X-Wing Fighters? Movie magic. Jackson McKay combined the Kenny Loggins’ classic Danger Zone with footage from Star Wars episodes IV through IX and Rogue One, giving us the only Star Wars soundtrack that works even better than one by John Williams.
