Can’t wait for Fable 2 to come out on Tuesday? Check out this trailer, which shows off the first ten minutes of the game; frankly, we’re quite impressed with how cinematic it all feels.
More gear for your ultimate bachelor pad: the Optime Strategies Table is an updated version of the classic face-to-face arcade cabinet; you can also surf the internet and play MP3s with it.
After a long hiatus, Red Faction is back, with its third iteration taking place on a terraformed Mars. The trailer above marks the end of their beta (and of FPS views); the game will launch 1/09.
Based off of 2001’s Space Tripper, Astro Tripper is a side-scrolling shooter that features fat power ups, a pseudo 3D environment and 1080p HD graphics. It’s coming to the PS3 “soon”.
Atari ST, Amiga and C64 gamers should fondly remember Carrier Command; a new version is finally on the way and should arrive in 2009. Scope the teaser above for some juicy visuals.
Although official plans for a US release are murky, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days should please Nintendo DS fans. It focuses on Roxas between Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II.
This video for Call of Duty: World at War faintly echoes Killzone 2, albeit with over-acted and corny phrases no one would ever shout over multiplayer; thank god it’s action packed.
Wooden Path reminds us of those sliding image puzzles we played with as a kid. It can be a bit frustrating, but the zen-like burbling water kept us from punching our monitor.
Much love for no-DRM devs Stardock, whose Sins of a Solar Empire will be getting its Entrenchment expansion soon. You’ll not only get new cap ships, but gigantic starbases as well.
With Nintendo passing on a US version of Mother 3/Earthbound, a group of fans translated the entire RPG; after nearly two years of hard work, it’s done. Thanks, Thundercross!
Hayao Miyazaki fans are gonna love Ninokuni, Studio Ghibli’s first major foray into the gaming world with Japanese developers Level-5: think Howl’s Moving Castle meets Totoro.
These Mirror’s Edge trailers just keep getting better; “Flight Level” is halfway between a flying dream and a falling nightmare, with the heroine leaping (off) tall buildings in a single bound.
The demo for Tom Clancy’s EndWar is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace; early reviews are praising the voice recognition but note it’s simplistic for an RTS.
While the SHIELD trailer was goofy, this launch trailer for Spider-Man: WoS is flat-out emo cued to Moonlight Sonata. The enemies and overall plot look plenty badass, however.
It takes awhile to load, but Dogfight 2 is worth the wait. This freebie by Rock Solid Arcade is a beautifully rendered WW1 biplane shooter, with 25 missions and bonuses for ace flying.
There’s something about this Patapon 2 trailer that gets us giddy in a let’s go crazy and demolish everything way. It’s coming to the PSP in Japan in November; no word on a US release.
Not content to rest with BC: Rearmed, Bionic Commando is the first true sequel to the franchise; as a commenter noted, it’s like Spider-Man with guns; good enough for us.
It’s tough not to wax nostalgic with Midnight Club: Los Angeles; this trailer stars a properly riced-out 1999 Nissan Skyline tearin’ up Southland asphalt (and the occasional sidewalk).
Although there’s not much sound, this montage-style trailer for WoW’s upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion gives a pretty good idea of gameplay and new environments.
Quantum Theory is Asia’s answer to Gears of War, with a predictably pretty looking hero (named “Sid” of all things); it’s also got a bit of Fracture mixed in with deformable environments.
The trailer could be clearer, but we like what we see with indie-developed Naumachia, a multiplayer space-combat sim; they’re currently working on the alpha and looking for investors.
GemCraft is a fantasy-oriented Tower Defense game. Towers are upgraded with “gems” which can be mixed to increase potency; if you’re in a bind, lob ’em at enemies and they’ll explode.
Most game trailers are pretty run of the mill, but we like this S.H.I.E.L.D trailer for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows; it’s like a public service announcement, albeit with tongue in cheek.
It’s what we’ve all been waiting for: more gameplay vids for Starcraft 2. Check out either the Zerg vs. Terran or the Protoss goin’ at the Terrans. The Colossus is weak sauce, btw.
We can never get enough Blizzard news, which is why we’re amped up by this latest trailer for Diablo III that focuses on the wizard class. Hang in there: gameplay is towards the end.
It’s the game that never ends: PowerUp Forever is the 2D space shooter we’ve been praying for, with swarms of enemies and gorgeous graphics; it’s coming to PSN and XBLA this fall.
