Artist Mister Mourao created this series of intricate pen and ink drawings on wood, each of which envisions a circular building that has no beginning or end. Most of the pieces have been sold, but you can still find a couple of the originals in his shop.

Once per day for the last year, Mark Cersosimo snapped a photo of the ground beneath his feet, then assembled the images into a personal travelogue of sorts. It’s a welcome departure from other photo of the day videos. It’s also a good look at his shoe collection.

Eric Harrell used his 3D printer to render an accurate, fully-functional scale model of the LS3 V8 engine from a Chevrolet Camaro. It took him over 200 hours to print the finished model. If you’ve got the time, the printer, and the filament, grab the plans from Thingiverse.

Interactive design firm Eness developed these modular LUMES light-emitting wall panels. They can be veneered with various materials including fabric, acrylic, and even blended into wood walls. This particular piece is installed at Cabrini Hospital in Malvern, Australia.

To show off their nanofabrication process, scientists at Western University used elecrton beam lithography to create this microscopic silica and platinum snowman that measures less than 3 microns tall. For comparison’s sake, a human hair is about 100 microns thick.

Artist Mike Doyle creates amazing and unique LEGO models, including these awesomely spooky abandoned homes, made even more creepy through the use of a monochrome black, white, and grey pallette. Be sure to check out his incredible 200,000 piece City of Odan too.

Skate or Design creates vibrant and functional home accessories and furniture from reclaimed skateboard decks. The highlight of their collection is this 40″ wide coffee table covered in colorful wood decks. A hidden steel frame underneath provides structure and rigidity.

LEGO Ideas member Chiho Kim’s proposal for a kit based on the iconic off-roader. The model even comes with a net to secure things at the back as well as emergency cones. Chiho has since updated the model with larger tires, a light bar, fog lamps and a winch.

“Are you hallucinating again?” Director Valère Amirault’s enthralling CGI animated short film pushes the envelope in terms of textures, materials, and lighting, as its protagonists struggle with the very idea of traditional animated genres and presentation styles.

Developed as an alternative to kerosene lamps, the Consol Solar Jar has four LEDs underneath its lid and a battery charged by the solar panel on top of the lid. It gives an hour of light for every hour of sunlight, has a clever magnetic switch, and can also be charged via MicroUSB.

YouTuber Anuja de silva shared this friendly competition between sculptors and professors Sarath Chandrajeewa and Cao Chang Xu. They stood side-by-side and tried to make a portrait sculpture of each other in just 10 minutes.

Video of the incrediblly steady hand of an artist from Japanese tableware company Kutani Choemon, as they embellish a ceramic dish with delicate linework, and floods of colored glaze that we were convinced would spill out of the lines, but miraculously don’t.

The resin-based NexD1 takes rapid prototyping to the next level, allowing for the creation of intricate 3D objects with circuits embedded directly into them. It can print circuit board, flexible materials, and even full-color objects, using up to six materials at the same time.

AWE me shows us how to make a teapot from a Victorian galaxy far, far away. They built an Artoo body around a teapot using aluminum bars and sheets, epoxy, a cake bowl and bits and bobs from a junkyard.

We don’t usually play with dolls (just Funko figures), but we couldn’t resist sharing this video that showcases the craftsmanship that goes into handmaking these classic Japanese figurines. The part where artist Yasuo Okazaki applies the paint rings is just so satisfying.

LEGO’s new BMW R 1200 GS set is boss, but we think this proposal for a 1967 R60/2 has the potential to be even better. Designed by LEGO Ideas member maximecheng03, it’s a tad skinnier than the actual bike, but we’re pretty sure LEGO can easily fix that.

YouTuber brusspup showcases a mesmerizing geometric toy. Designed by Andreas Hoenigschmid, a GeoCube can be transformed into 64 different shapes and combined with other GeoCubes. It’s made of cardboard, magnets and industrial tape.

OutsideEdge Products creates these cool handmade lamp shades which each feature four miniature versions of the backglass art from classic pinball machines. Each shade measures 10 1/2″ h x 14 3/4″ w x 14 3/4″ d, and comes with black or white speckled borders.
