Porsche pinky promises that their 2025 Taycan all-electric models will be the quickest production cars they’ve ever made. The rear-wheel drive Taycan sedan now sprints 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds (0.6 seconds quicker than before) while the Taycan Turbo S sedan can hit 60 mph in 2.3 seconds (0.3 seconds quicker).
After an extensive update, the new versions are said to also benefit from more power, greater range, a more extensive list of standard equipment, the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience, and (fingers crossed) faster charging. Under ideal conditions with a DC fast charger, the updated Taycan will take as little as 18 minutes to charge despite its larger battery capacity.
Four powertrain options will be available for each model, with rear- and all-wheel drive choices. We’re looking forward to getting behind the wheel to judge for ourselves if the simultaneous improvement of performance and efficiency is as dynamic as Porsche promises. 2025 Taycans will be speeding to a showroom near you this summer.
