Awesome Wakeboarding

Well, here’s a stunt you don’t see every day. Watch as Red Bull athlete Brian Grubb wakeskates across a Dubai rooftop swimming pool, goes flying off a ramp, then deploys a parachute for an epic BASE jump from 964 feet up. They used a customized drone to pull him across the pool since there was no room for a boat.

The guys from Real Skifi do some pretty wacky stuff on skis. In this clip, athletes Ilkka Hannula and Juho Kilkki decided to see if it was possible to use their powder skis to remain upright in water and across the obstacles in a wakeboarding park. Turn on subtitles.

Take a trip through the exotic floating markets of Bangkok, Thailand, courtesy of Red Bull and athlete Dominik Gührs. Along the way he splashes his wakeboard past vendors and monks, and pulls off a variety of jumps, spins, rail slides, and other tricks through the narrow waterways.

(PG-13 Lyrics) Some guys in Russia woke up to find their streets flooded, and decided to make lemonade out of lemons by wakeboarding on the wet streets with a tow rope and a snowboard. The Die Antwoord soundtrack might turn off some, but it still looks like fun.

Sure, it’s not that difficult to solve a Rubik’s Cube, but this guy took multitasking to a whole ‘nother level by solving his 3x3x3 puzzle while wakesurfing. Sure, the waters were pretty calm, but you try doing it.

Hey wakeboarders – check out the moves in this clip. Look carefully, and you’ll notice their feet aren’t attached to the board like they usually are, so it really is like skateboarding on water.
