Oldboy director Park Chan-wook teamed up with Robert Downey Jr. for this limited-run series about a spy who was planted in the South Vietnam army and later moved to the U.S., where he secretly reported back to the Viet Cong. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Viet Thanh Nguyen, it Stars Hoa Xuande as The Captain and premieres 4.14.24 on Max.

All Process of the World takes us inside a Kumho tire factory in Vietnam that cranks out thousands of tires each day. They start with large quantities of rubber and other materials and extrude those into long, flat strips. Then machines cut and mold them around a circular form, apply layers, attach an inflatable structure, then heat-emboss tread patterns.

Inspired by a true story, The Greatest Beer Run Ever follows a man who decides to support his friends fighting the war in Vietnam by delivering them real American beer. Zac Efron stars as the well-meaning pal who finds himself over his head, and learns some life lessons along the way. In theaters and on Apple TV+ 9.30.22.

Artist DP Truong shows off another one of their unconventional portrait techniques, this time creating an image using torn-up scraps of paper. The portrait pays tribute to the late Vietnamese actor Hoang Dung. Blowing away the scraps at the end serves as a sort of cinematic goodbye.

An artist from Nghệ Nhân Âu Lạc Woodart Vietnam goes Super Saiyan on a block of wood, carving an impressive sculpture of Dragon Ball’s spiky-haired protagonist Goku. His weapons of choice? A chainsaw, an angle grinder, chisels, and a Dremel rotary tool.
