Awesome The Black Keys

The Black Keys dropped by the Helpful Honda Sound Space at KROQ and turned in a fantastic short concert for a lucky few in attendance. The 24-minute set includes classics like Howlin for You, Gold on the Ceiling, and Lonely Boy, as well as three tracks off their latest album, Beautiful People (Stay High), On the Game, and This Is Nowhere.

(PG-13: Language) A hilariously cynical bit from Vice News, in which The Black Keys co-founder Patrick Carney listens to snippets of music from other artists, and rips apart most of it for lazy writing, cheesy instrumentation, or just not being his kind of jam. More here.

The Black Keys new album El Camino drops December 6, 2011; until then, enjoy this taste of what’s to come with this video for their first single. It’s three minutes of sunshine on a gloomy day.

We don’t get the whole little kids on the playground thing in this video, but we’re completely wild about the rockin’ sounds of The Black Keys, one of our favorite indie bands at this very moment.
