Awesome Scott Pilgrim

Netflix is readying an anime based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels. What’s truly special is that they assembled the original cast from Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World to voice their characters. Japan’s Science Saru is animating the series, with Wright and author Bryan Lee O’Malley as executive producers.

Did you know that in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Scott and Ramona’s Seven Evil Exes have visual cues indicating their number? Or that the actors in Sex Bob-omb actually played their respective instruments? All that in more in Did You Know Movies’ video.

A limited edition figure of Scott Pilgrim’s Ninja Delivery Girl. The 9″ tall collectible has 7 points of articulation and comes with a hammer, a bat, an alternate right arm and a purse. The Mondo exclusive version comes with an alternate purse that has Scott sticking out of it.

Remix master Eclectic Method reminds us just how much we loved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and all of the films of Edgar Wright with his brief tribute to this wonderfully fun comic book come to life. Guess we know what we’ll be rewatching this weekend.

Topping this week’s releases, the Blu-ray/DVD combo includes commentary, deleted scenes, bloopers, an Adult Swim animated featurette, and of course, Ramona and her seven evil exes.

If only Neo’s problem was as simple as defeating Trinity’s Seven Evil Exes, then maybe the trilogy wouldn’t have been so freaking vague and convoluted. Neo, this is loco!

These dudes may not have super powers, but they are real threats. Makes you wish you had powers too so you can kick their asses, but then again, you could have been one of these guys too.

“Play” the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World i-Trailer and earn points to unlock extras like wallpapers and trivia. If you don’t dig this trailer, you’re probably not going to enjoy the movie either.

It’s our hero’s finest hour in Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, the last volume of an epic tale of love, music and video games. Will he and Ramona end up together, or will he get killed trying?

Scott Pilgrim’s adventures has reached its final chapter, but you can still team up with him and his friends to beat Ramona’s 7 evil exes. Coming out Aug. 10, 2010 on the PSN, and later on XBLA.

From a series rife with video game references, it’s only appropriate that Scott Pilgrim should get his own video game. Ubisoft calls it a “rock-n-roll-action-love-story-game.” We call it awesome.
