Musician Leo Moracchioli has always had a thing for puppets, so it’s only natural that he’d expand his repertoire to include a song from a puppet show. His heavy metal cover of the theme from Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock will have you dancing your cares away and saving your worries for another day.

I’ll just stay here, locked behind the door… swaying to the symphony of destruction. Bill McClintock combined the music of The Pointer Sisters’, Megadeth, Metallica, and Blue Oyster Cult into a molten-hot bouillabaisse of disco metal. The Stylophone is a very basic analog electronic instrument that uses a conductive pen and a metal circuit board of “keys” as its input device. Bill McClintock imagines a world where Prince and Slayer could perform on the same stage, combining bits of Let’s Go Crazy, Black Magic, Angel of Death, Seasons in the Abyss, and War Ensemble, with a dash of Van Halen’s I’m the One and Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love for added flavor.

With the help of the WaterBear College of Music, metalhead Leo Morachiolli and his friends Hannah Boulton, Rabea Massaad, Erik Torp, and Truls Haugen scored a recording session at the famed Abbey Road Studios to record a powerful cover version of The Beatles’ Come Together with even more of an edge than Aerosmith’s version.

We love it when performers defy expectations, and Bloodywood definitely does that with their spicy blend of Indian culture and heavy metal music. Leo Moracchioli swaps synths for screams with a heavy metal cover of the track that would give John Lithgow’s judgmental reverend a heart attack if he heard it.

Guitarist Andre Antunes has unofficially joined the US Navy. He took footage from Communication Specialist Josiah Trombley’s awesome call-and-response Steamroller troop march, and turned it into a heavy metal song. Seriously, they could go into the studio and record this.

Do you know what’s better than looking at pictures of roly-poly dogs on the internet? A heavy metal song that pays tribute to these adorably chonky and well-fed pooches, courtesy of YouTuber Frazee Wooster. He needs to do a version for all the other round boys.
