Toy maker Hasbro teamed up with the 3D printing experts at Formlabs to create action figures that can be customized with your own head. The high-tech toys start with a 3D scan on your phone that’s used to make a full-color resin model. The $60 figures will be available starting Fall 2022 in the U.S. via the Hasbro Pulse app.

Since the 1960s, Mr. Potato Head toys have come with a fake potato body made of plastic. But when they first came out in the 1950s, they were strictly bring-your-own tuber. Vintage TV Commercials dug up this 1952 Hasbro promo that shows just how creepy and weird looking the original Potato Heads could be.

Remember when you had to manually transform your Transformers? That changes today, thanks to Hasbro and Robosen. This impressive 19″ tall robot can automatically convert, and can do it via voice or a smartphone app. The G1 Optimus Prime is loaded with 80 sound effects, and the original voice of the Autobot’s leader.

Hasbro’s two-player tabletop game combines the spinny controls of foosball with the hoop-shooting strategy of basketball. The fast-paced, head-to-head game makes players pick up tiny basketballs with goofy, grippy hands and fling them through their opponent’s hoop.

This special travel edition of Hasbro’s classic crossword game Scrabble has a grid that locks its tiny tiles in place, so you can even play while in the back seat of a moving car or on top of the bed without worry. Its flip-out word trays and folding board also mean you can save your game and resume later.

A limited-edition bundle from Nike and Hasbro, the Megatron Rises 3-pack pays homage to Detroit Lions WR Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. It has three shoes and a Megatron action figure. The shoes will also be sold separately.

The latest revision to Lazer Tag lets players use their iOS devices as an augmented reality heads-up display while aiming and firing at virtual-reality foes. Out August 2012 for $40/each or $70/pair.
