Awesome Braun

Watch shop Hodinkee teamed up with minimalist design house Braun to create the BN0279. The grey 40mm mechanical watch is as simple as it gets, with hints of color calling back to Braun’s alarm clocks from the 70s. It’s available with either a second hand or a sub-second dial; each limited to 100 units.

The Braun S9 shaver is pretty slick looking as electric razors go. But even if you squint really hard, it’s hard to envision this thing turning into a mech. But model maker RAY Studio used his imagination and crafting skills to transform this $300 groomer into a detailed figure inspired by War Machine from the Iron Man series.

The designers at Braun have long delivered chic minimalism in its gadgets. Their Men’s Analog/Digital Watch is the first in their collection to combine a traditional analog dial with the practicality of a digital time, date, and alarm display. The modern matte stainless-steel case and rubber strap make it a smart staple.

The Braun CoolTec shaver has a ceramic cooling element that you can activate to reduce irritation and leave you with a fresh feeling. On another note, we didn’t know commercials for shavers were this intense.

A 2012 Red Dot Design awardee, the BN0035 has a 40mm stainless steel case, a quartz chronograph movement, scratch-resistant glass and is water resistant up to 50m. Comes in black or white.

While it has more visual elements than Braun’s other timepieces, this bold analog wristwatch still draws the user’s attention to its main function. Has a stainless steel case and a leather strap.
