Penguins are known for being charming, but we had no idea Chilly Willy could be so devious too. This particular guy goes around stealing rocks from the nests of other birds while they’re not looking.

Penguins are so adorable, aren’t they? What this guy doesn’t realize when he approaches this particular penguin is more likely related to Oswald Cobblepot than to Happy Feet.

So here we have just your everyday footage of a bird… going for a walk… on an escalator. Sure, it looks like he’s doing it all wrong, but he’s actually just too cheap to pay for a gym membership.

We’ve seen all sorts of fights with all sorts of weapons, but never any so unusual (and feather-filled) as this Russian brawl, punctuated with what can only be described as Angry Birds IRL.

A bunch of penguins pop by for a visit, when they hear it’s feeding time and head for the pond. At least most of them do. Somebody, take that little dude under their wing and show him the ropes.

This bird my be small, but he has an iron will (and claws of steel), hanging on to this moving windshield wiper like a champ. He may not look like he is, but perhaps he’s related to this guy.

Despite their rep of being (angry?) predatory birds, these orphaned Screech Owls don’t seem that way. They’re being cared for by humans until they’re old enough to be released back into the wild.

Guess who wins? We’re surprised the idiot in this video didn’t end up with his eyeballs pecked out by the victim of his provocation. The moral of this story: Never ruffle a turkey’s feathers.

The guy who uploaded this clip claims a seagull stole his GoPro camera while visiting France, and he had to climb a castle wall to get it back. Real or fake, the flying effect looks pretty convincing to us.

Ah, it’s springtime and love is in the air. This yellow budgie is in love with a yellow… tennis ball. The little bird just loves to roll around atop his new-found spherical friend – and peck at it.

Blooming planktons are a feast for shoals of herring. The gathering creates a feast for seafaring birds, who gang up on the herring, pinning them from above and below. The – ohmygod.

Nature never really works quite the way you’d expect. Take, for instance, this tenacious bird that incessantly taunts a cat. Of course, things have a way of working out…

So many awesome things about this video: that there’s a place called Unalaska, Alaska, at times they have daylight even at 11pm, and there are freakin’ eagles (and a fox) in their backyards.

UK designer and model artist Kyle Bean has created an ironic project called What Came First? – a visual pun based on the saying, by crafting a chicken from egg shells. We’d love to see a series.

While driving through a McDonalds’ parking lot in Florida, this guy had a sea bird land on his windshield wiper, and took the bird for a little ride. Can anyone say Flintstones hood ornament?

The 3D animated Rio, with Anne Hathaway and George Lopez, is set in the city of Rio de Janeiro and the rainforests of Brazil and centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind.

Poor parrot. He’s in a dark room, with no sunlight and no companions. Perhaps that’s why he’s gained a bitter streak. Or maybe he was banished because of his taste in music. Watch and listen.
