Business Insider UK shows off some the art of Patrick Hughes. In his “Reverspective” paintings, sections of the canvas project outwards making closer objects seem further away, and further objects seem closer. More trippy business here.

Till Nowak’s incredible short film is about a musician whose obsessive nature blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. The film blends live action and animation, as the protagonist moves between his two worlds. We’re betting Nowak get his own feature film deal after this.

Animator Steve Cutts‘ always wows us with his craft, and his latest short film is no exception. In Happiness, a workaday rodent lives life in the big city and vainly seeks out the fulfillment and good life promised by commercial products and material possessions.

ArtStation is an online community for professional visual artists. The site has set up a publishing arm, and this is their first book. Project 77 features the dystopian sci-fi world of ArtStation member Martin Deschambault, enriched with short stories by Jeffrey Campbell.

Sergio Jauregui makes detailed miniatures of buildings and other urban objects out of particle board and discarded electronics. Amazingly, he’s been doing this only for a few months, picking up the basics by studying theatrical set design. He’s also open to commissions.

(Flashing colors) The latest video from the masters of video gimmickry features a gag that was made using more than 500 individual printers, each spewing out sheets of Double A paper to create an animated backdrop. The track is from the 2014 album Hungry Ghosts.

This incredible custom made life-size Iron Man Mk. 45 armor was designed to be a gaming PC case. Professional PC builder Jengki Wmp won the first prize for Most Beautiful PC Case at the 2017 Deutsche Casemod Meisterschaft for his one-of-a-kind build.

A hilariously weird PC and Mac app which procedurally generates wacky looking characters from randomly-generated objects. It’s a bit of a resource hog so if you don’t want to install it, simply enjoy the extensive gallery of crazy creations over on imgur.

Clackeys is a one-man shop that makes geeky and humorous mechanical keyboard keycaps. The proprietor Robert sculpts his designs on ZBrush, then prints them out of resin using a Form 2 3D printer. He also paints some of his products by hand.

Designed by James Paulius, Areaware’s Blockitecture are minimalist and cute architectural building blocks. The wooden modules come in themed sets including a park, a housing complex and a factory. You can also purchase all sets as a discounted bundle.

LEGO’s crowdsourcing system turns 10 in 2018. To celebrate, LEGO is challenging fans to create their own version of the LEGO Ideas logo. The grand prize winner will receive all of the 2017 LEGO Ideas sets, while the runner up will receive the Saturn V and Women of NASA sets.

A poster book featuring a drawing made from a single, unbroken one mile-long black line by artist Ana-Gabriela Stroe. There are tons of images along the path, and it makes a great coloring book. If you’ve got a 22.5 foot long stretch of wall, you can even wall mount it.

Artist Thomas Houha makes laser-cut wood and mat board models of objects ranging from spaceships to bridges. One of our faves is this 4″ x 5″ model of a relic of traditional design – a wooden drafting table complete with a teensy T-square and other drafting tools.

Sinners Domino Entertainment is back with another record-setting setup – an insanely complex series of scenes toppled from half a million individual dominoes. It took 22 domino experts two weeks to put the show together – and less than 9 minutes to knock it all down.

Fashion brand COS teamed up with the awesomely-named Snarkitecture to build an epic marble track in Seoul, Korea, consisting of over 1300 feet of suspended track, on which white glass marbles roll. The ride culminates with each marble ending up in a massive pile.

3D printing pens aren’t as magical or user-friendly as we first thought. But 3D Pen Lab shows us that what these gadgets can do… with enough practice and imagination. Watch them make a surprisingly detailed Pickle Rick in this time-lapse.

Art dealer Philip Mould is removing the varnish from an unidentified painting that was made in 1618. Supposedly applied to the painting 200 years ago, the varnish has caked into a thick brown coat over the colors and details.

Artist Ewan McClure shows of a nifty painting technique, in which he looks in the mirror to view his own image, then paints a self-portrait from behind the backside of the canvas, while looking at its reflection in the mirror.

Furniture maker Lignum walks us through the painstaking process of transforming dozens of straight slats of wood into a beautiful handbuilt bench with smoothly undulating curves. It amazes us that most of the work is done using only clamps, patience, and lots of glue.

Maxim Zhestkov’s minimal experimental film is a visual wonder, in which a seemingly endless flood of black and white spheres ebb and flow through a stark white space. Over 2 billion individual particles were rendered under the influences of simulated natural forces.
