An absolutely stunning timepiece, the Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech offers rugged, military looks, and a case made from lightweight carbon fiber composite. It has a 3-day automatic movement, and is water resistant up to 30 bar (~300 meters).

The Eco-Drive One is the world’s thinnest solar-powered watch at just 3mm thick. The $6K limited edition has a cermet case, a tungsten carbide bezel and a crocodile leather strap, while the standard models have a steel case and band, and a cermet bezel. More here.

Featuring a look that combines modern and industrial aesthetics, Hikaro’s custom designed watches use Swiss movements, covered with sapphire glass, wrapped in stainless steel and trimmed with wood. Each has an elegant stitched leather band with a stainless buckle.

One of the more spectacular watches in ArtyA’s latest collection, the Race Mahogany features a face inspired by a sports car’s wheel, a chocolate brown PVD stainless case and band, and a carbon fiber-backed tachometer style gauge on the back. Limited to just 99 pieces.

Breitling’s new Chronoworks lab optimized many of the Superocean Héritage’s moving parts, resulting in an increase in its power reserve from 70h to 100h. The 46mm watch has a black ceramic case and a woven rubber strap. Limited to 100 units.

NIXON’s smartwatch is designed specifically for surfers and skiers. The Android Wear watch displays information on tides, powder, and weather around the world. It’s water-resistant to 100 meters, shock-resistant, and looks fantastic. We only wish it had GPS capability.

A smartwatch with one main smart feature. It has an ePaper display over its dial that indicates your free and busy time for the next 12h using data from your calendar app. You’ll be able to mix and match the watch with a variety of lugs and straps.

As part of its Star Wars Light Side collection, Nixon spruced up its 42mm Sentry SS watch with details from Anakin’s protocol droid. It has Threepio’s gold color, embossed rings and exposed mid-section wires on its dial.

Filson and Shinola knocked it out of the park once again. The Dutch Harbor is a diving watch inspired by ’50s classics. It’s water resistant up to 990ft, has a rotating bezel and is available in several dial and bezel colors as well as steel, leather and nylon bands.

Most watches have a sapphire crystal, and some have a sapphire back. The Big Bang Unico Sapphire has both, but its bezel and case are also made of sapphire, giving it a transparent look without sacrificing durability. The price? $57,900.
