Designed for capturing moving 360-degree videos, this specialized GoPro rig uses 16 cameras to send HD videos to Google’s new Jump software, which will let you view its videos on VR headsets. Example video here.
Direct-feed footage from Crytek’s immersive demo built for virtual reality systems like the Oculus Rift. We can only imagine how cool this will be when viewed with the proper headgear – or if they turned it into a full-fledged game.
While we wait for consumer version of the Oculus Rift, there’s another VR headset available now that uses existing phone hardware. The VRTX I docks the LG G3 smartphone, and turns its 2564×1440 screen into a head-mounted display.
