If you’ve ever sawed wood, you know that its edge is rough and needs sanding if you plan on it being exposed. For fun, John Heisz of I Build It decided to see if it was possible to take a shortcut by combining his table saw blade with a sanding disc. The blade and sandpaper will wear at vastly different rates, it’s still a cool idea.

There are lots of ways to keep tools organized, but there’s something very satisfying about custom-cut foam dividers that hold tools perfectly in place. The guys at Shadow Foam make that kind of dense foam, and recently used a huge sheet of it to create an epic wall for mounting and organizing all their Makita power tools.

The versatile Dremel Ultra Saw is one of our go-to power tools. Now it comes in a cordless version, so you can use it anywhere. It runs on a rechargeable 20V battery pack and can make quick and easy cuts through wood, metal, PVC, masonry, tile, and more. It can even do plunge cuts in the middle of materials.

We’ve seen lots of cool things turned on lathes over the years. But one thing we’ve never seen is what the wood sees as it spins around. Mr. Michal decided to clamp his GoPro into the business end of his lathe to see just what that might look like, and the result is unsurprisingly dizzying as it ramps up from 14 to 1800 RPM.

At just 5.12″ long, Milwaukee Tool’s small but mighty drill/driver goes places others don’t. It comes with four interchangeable heads: 3/8″ chuck, offset driver, 1/4″ hex, and right angle; each attaching in 16 different positions, and cranks out up to 300 in-lb of torque. The kit includes a pair of battery packs and an charger.

Stellen’s DOER kit packs a dozen power tools inside a single, compact storage box. It includes a hammer drill, drill press, jigsaw, scroll saw, circular saw. table saw, hotwire cutter, table sander, mini lathe, work light, and lantern. Its tools are powered by an interchangeable battery pack, or optional AC/DC adapter.

The updated version of the Wowstick Mini power screwdriver now comes with 56 aluminum alloy bits for a wide variety of screw heads. Its electric drive and slim profile are ideal for handling the numerous small screws found on electronics these days. It’s also got a manual mode for when you need extra torque.

Dremel’s versatile power tool can quickly rip through a variety of materials. It works as both a rough cutting machine and an oscillating tool, and can handle cutting, as well as scraping, sanding, grinding, and grout removal, making it the perfect multitool for remodeling jobs.

This battery-operated handheld power tool features a teensy working chainsaw at its end, making quick work of rough cuts through branches up to about 3″ thick. It uses a replaceable “Nano Blade” and can easily make right-angle and straight cuts.
