OUROBOROS ARQ loves to make miniature models of buildings and other structures using realistic construction materials. In this video, they show us how they built a modern multi-level house with concrete walls, brick details, a wooden staircase, and built-in lighting.

Jonny Campbell came up with this concept for a LEGO set inspired by Steven Spielberg’s classic thriller, JAWS. The set includes an accurate model of the Orca, loaded up with fishing gear and those iconic yellow barrels. It also comes with Bruce the great white shark, and minifigs of Brody, Hooper, and Quint.

Anyone who has seen This Is Spinal Tap knows the consequences of a too-small Stonehenge. Now you can put an even tinier version of the ancient wonder right on your desktop. The kit includes a grassy green mat, 16 stone replicas, and a 32-page guide. Just don’t let your action figures trip over the stones.

This unique mechanical clock model features a spherical tourbillon at its top that rotates on three axes. A spring-wound mechanism provides up to 3 hours of power for the tourbillon and the hour and minute reels at the bottom of its tower. The 338-piece model is for advanced builders and takes about 15 hours to assemble.

This 707-piece wooden globe model has a motor-drive mechanism that keeps it spinning. In addition to the rotating globe, a tiny, magnetic ship sails around its base to commemorate Magellan’s journey around the Earth. Vietnam-based artists The Wooden Model Design build incredibly detailed laser-cut wood models, including replicas of professional camera equipment. Among their creations are a Sony Alpha 1, a Hasselblad 500CM, and a RED Komodo 6K, and a Mamiya RZ67.

Martina and Hansi from Nerdforge needed a new computer for editing videos. Rather than go with some off-the-shelf PC, they built a completely custom system that looks like a medieval fantasy house. The structure is wood, covered with miniature bricks and foam accent pieces. This thing both runs Windows and HAS Windows.

Excited about The Book of Boba Fett? Boylei Hobby Time can’t wait either, so he made a model based on the scene of Fett holding court at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2. He started with an off-the-shelf Boba Fett model, meticulously painted and distressed it, then created a custom throne, complete with rancor heads.

Woodworking Art adds to their vehicle collection by carving a Chevy Silverado HD pickup truck out of Fujian cypress wood. The miniature has working wheels, doors, liftgate, hood, steering, suspension, and steps. They also made a trailer to test its towing capacity, which is nowhere near the real truck’s 36,000 lb. max.

The Braun S9 shaver is pretty slick looking as electric razors go. But even if you squint really hard, it’s hard to envision this thing turning into a mech. But model maker RAY Studio used his imagination and crafting skills to transform this $300 groomer into a detailed figure inspired by War Machine from the Iron Man series.

At 9,090 pieces, LEGO’s model of the ill-fated oceanliner is their largest model yet. It measures 54″ long and splits into three sections so you can inspect its detailed interior from the grand staircase to the boiler room. Railroad operators in Darmstadt, Germany have a unique way to learn how to operate signals without risking real trains. Tom Scott shows off this special model railroad which is operated by real railway controls, including different kinds of switch consoles installed in various eras.

Fans of This Is Spinal Tap will immediately get a giggle out of this even smaller version of Stonehenge created by model artist Luke Towan. He created the detailed replica of the ancient monument with the help of an Anycubic Photon Ultra resin 3D printer.

Inspired by a fan-submitted design, this miniature model of Fender’s iconic Stratocaster electric guitar is accurate down to the smallest detail. Toyota Gazoo Racing teamed up with Legoland Japan to build this 1:1 scale replica of a 2021 GR Supra. Its 477,303 LEGO bricks make for an incredibly accurate model, and it even can drive – though its 4,165 lb. curb weight and modest electric motor offer a top speed of just 17 mph, a far cry from the Supra’s 155 mph limit.

Simas1014 of Generic Woodworking likes to make working models of car engines from wood. Here, he shows off an impossibly tiny model of a V8 engine, complete with a working crankshaft, rods, and pistons that move. You’d need to measure this engine’s displacement in milliliters.

You might think you were looking at an ordinary 7-Eleven store, but it’s actually a miniature. artist and director Justin Poulsen created this model of the store that’s accurate down to every detail, including the motorized doors. And there’s a surprise waiting inside – a pair of custom-made 7-Eleven Nike Dunks.

RC aircraft enthusiast Troy McMillan spent countless hours planning, designing, 3D printing, and assembling a scale model of a jumbo jet. Here, he shares the time-consuming build process, its maiden flight, and tragic demise after a battery failure rendered his flight controller useless.

In this video, they walk us through the process of creating a scene of a meteor crashing into a building, combining 3D printing, hand-painting, and model-making techniques to create an awe-inspiring visual. The lighting inside the fireball really brings it to life.
