Although we like the Samsung X360’s slim lines, its 13.3″ screen was just a bit too small; thankfully, the X460 saves the day with a 14.1″ LED screen and weighs just over 4 lbs.

Sony’s Vaio TT is the world’s lightest Blu-ray laptop. Less than 1″ thick and only 2.87 lbs, this svelte 11″ notebook gets a carbon fiber chassis, 16:9 HD 1080p and dual channel SSD drives + RAID.

Lenovo’s 12.1″ X200 and X200t notebooks pack in low-power CPUs as well as optional SSD and Blu-ray drives. The X200t is a tablet, and can get up to 15 hours of life for road warriors.

Only available in the UK at the moment, Toshiba’s NB100 netbook is one of the nicer ones we’ve seen. Otherwise, it’s pretty run of the mill: 1.6 GHz Atom, 1 GB RAM and an 8.9″ screen.

Iomega’s eGo Helium is a portable 2.5″ hard drive for MacBook Air owners; it sports a sleek, 1″ thick anodized aluminum case that weighs only 7 oz, yet can withstand falls of up to 51″.

HP’s HDX16t laptop is like a mini-home theater, especially if you get the 1920×1080 full HD 16:9 ratio screen and optional TV tuner; also included are a Blu-ray drive and subwoofer.

Sony’s new Vaio NS has a singular, but powerful claim to fame: this 15.4″ laptop gets a Blu-ray drive. Not bad for a sub-$1000 notebook, although you’ll be stuck with integrated graphics.

Asus’ Eee PC 901 has dropped by $100, from $600 to $500; we suspect it’s due to competition from other netbooks, including Dell’s Inspiron Mini 9 and the Acer Inspire One.

HP’s 14.1″ EliteBook 6930P runs an astounding 24 hours on an optional high capacity battery. Similarly styled to their flagship 8730W, you’ll want an SSD hard drive to maximize time.

The Kata Sensitivity V’s two compartments can hold both a laptop and a DSLR, or be merged into one space. It’s rugged, with rubber bumpers and tear- and water-resistant fabric.

The “iconic” My Document Laptop Sleeve is made from neoprene, fits up to a 15.4″ notebook, and includes an arrow cursor pin. No word on whether it will gobble up MacBooks.

Just released: Dell’s Inspiron Mini 9 laptop throws its hat into the netbook market. $349 gets you an Intel Atom N270, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB SSD, 802.11g card and Ubuntu. $449 for XP.

Notebook Reviews has a positive review up of the Acer Aspire One. The netbook scores high in terms of build quality and overall value, although the battery life could be longer.

This latest MacBook Pro mockup by Miguel Suarez (his Nano is here) looks like an enlarged MacBook Air. With these leaked case pictures , there may be some truth to his design.
