Awesome Gopro

This compilation video (a GoPro camera tribute) is filled with excellent viewpoints from a variety of sports, which always manage to inspire us, as we sit inside, with the A/C on, typing this.

Unusual angles granted by some inventive GoPro use and the mystical setting created by the awe-inspiring Cathedral of Junk in Austin were the perfect combination for this video that highlights the unique sound of Radiation City.

The final (and highest) piece on the One World Trade Center building was recently installed and recorded in this inspiring, yet vertiginous video shot with a GoPro camera. It’s nine minutes-long, but the views are amazing.

Art Gimbel shot this video of wild Japanese macaques bathing at the Jigokudani Monkey Park in Japan. Also known as snow monkeys, the primates are used to the presence of humans. View live images of the park here.

Skydive Chicago set a new world record for vertical skydiving, with 138 people participating. The video was recorded using GoPro HD Hero cameras. We highly recommend watching it full screen at 1080p.

YouTuber TTCdirektor took advantage of cats’ well documented love – or is it hatred? – of lasers to make this GoPro ad. He put a Hero 2 camera inside a tissue box and put a laser pointer on top of it.

Lucas Damm tried to record a skydive with his helmet-mounted GoPro. As he jumped, it came loose and tumbled 12,500 feet to the ground. Not only did it survive, it captured its owner’s landing.

We’re not sure what it is with animals and their desire to take cameras – and we’re not even sure if this clip is a fake – but we still find the idea of a seagull as a videographer to be amusing.
