Awesome Foo Fighters

Musicians Blair Crimmins and The Hookers created this great slow jam arrangement of Foo Fighters’ track My Hero specifically for their friend’s Mom, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease. They wanted to make a version that she could dance to at her son’s wedding.

Kathryn Shinnick, Kate Sullivan, Katie McKay, Sidney Harvey of Dolce Ensembles perform a wonderful cover version of Foo Fighters’ Everlong on violin, viola, and cello. Be sure to check out their their epic medley of Muse, Tool, System of a Down and Massive Attack too.

Dave Grohl directed the bipolar music video for Foo Fighters’ latest track – a clip which stars the members of the band rocking a retirement home, aged to look how they’ll look if they keep performing for another 30 years or so. We love the Thriller-esque choreography at the end.

After wowing us with his Folsom Pinball Blues, Puddles Pity Party is back with another awesome combo track, seamlessly melding Foo Fighters’ My Hero with John Lennon’s Imagine into an entirely new song. Puddles is our hero.

The Foo Fighters can already rock pretty damned hard, so we were kind of surprised to see Leo Moracchioli turn in a metal version of one of their tracks. Regardless, Leo knocked it out of the park with his latest cover.

(PG-13 Language) Dave Grohl regales us with a hilarious anecdote about meeting Sir Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift, then turns in a heartfelt solo acoustic performance of the Foo Fighters’ classic Best of You during the Cannes Lions 2016 festival of creativity.

(PG-13 Language) In Foo Fighters’ recent concert in Edmonton, the band looked for someone in the audience who could sing Rush’s ball-twisting Tom Sawyer. Enter Brian, who not only knew all the lyrics, but performed it almost casually.

For their Rockin’ 1000 event, a group of 1,000 musicians turned out in Cesena, Italy to play an awe-inspiring group performance of Foo Fighters’ Learn to Fly, with the hopes of convincing the band to come and play a concert there. (Thanks Alberto!)

(PG-13 Language) Anthony Bifolchi recently went to a Foo Fighters concert and brought a sign asking if he could play the drums for them as a (very special) birthday gift. Wish granted. Did we mention that Dave Grohl is the greatest?

We’re not only impressed with six-year-old Jaxon Smith’s self-taught drumming abilities, but his taste in music is impeccable, as he jams along with Foo Fighters’ Pretender.

The perfect rock and roll pairing cranked out this kick-ass performance of Bad Reputation on Letterman earlier this week – in case you didn’t see them play at Madison Square Garden.

As a prize in a recent contest, one very lucky Foo Fighters fan in Yonkers, NY – and a small group of friends were treated to an intimate concert in his garage. We only wish we could have been there.
