THE BEST Cameras
Rollei is bringing back the legendary twin lens camera as an instant camera. The Rolleiflex Instant Kamera uses Instax Mini film to print pictures on the go, while keeping most of the original’s advantages: 1:1 viewfinder, accurate focusing, depth-of-field effects and more.
Night vision cameras shoot muddy green images. Action cameras do terribly in the dark. SiOnyx claims its action camera can shoot night scenes in full color. While its 720p resolution is barely hi-def, its jumbo-sized CMOS sensor makes twilight and low-light shooting possible.
Eufy’s EverCam is a wireless security camera. It has Anker batteries that last for up to a year per charge. It has a 1080p 140º camera, motion and face recognition, night vision, a microphone, a speaker, and its base station has an SD card slot for local backups.
It’s not actually pocket-sized, but Blackmagic Design’s new camera more than makes up for it with its features. It has a micro four thirds sensor, a hefty 5″ touchscreen, a USB-C port and a full-size HDMI port. It can shoot 4K at up to 60fps and 1080p at up to 120fps.
I’m Back is an attachment that lets you take digital photos and videos on 35mm film cameras. It’s based on the Raspberry Pi Zero and uses a 16mp sensor. It has a variety of back plates for most camera brands, including Nikon, Canon, Leica, Yashica, Pentax and Olympus.
