Cats Attack! Scratching Post
Give your feline friends something that they can practice their eventual overthrow of the Earth on, like this corrugated cardboard scratching post that looks like a giant skyline. Kittehs need goals too.

The Mozilla Foundation adopted a couple of actual firefoxes, aka red pandas. There’s a live video stream of the cubs, so if you ever run out of cute animals to watch, you know where to turn to.
The moral of this story is simple. Never leave your dog alone in the car. At least the driver of this truck didn’t leave the engine on, or else the Bichon behind the wheel might have run someone over.
No animal was harmed to make this video. We don’t think the chicken even noticed the jerks who were messing with her. Nothing they did could take her eyes off whatever she was looking at.
Fred & Farid made these commercials for citrus drink Orangina. We’re pretty sure they were made with the YouTube generation in mind, because it features talking animals and makes no sense at all.
An Atlanta Zoo panda having a hell of a time scratching his back against a pile of tree trunks ends up looking like he’s dancing. Or doing something lewd. Watch the original video here.
Why this video doesn’t have a billion views already is beyond us, despite it featuring a cat whose mind is being thoroughly blown to bits. Takes the dramatic animal meme to another level.
Animatronics expert John Nolan took 2 months to make this 1:28 piece for Nolan’s Cheddar. It’s slightly disturbing in the middle, but definitely worth watching, with the sound turned up, in its entirety.
It’s cat vs. cat and birds vs. cats in this action-packed street thriller. We don’t know why the cats don’t just gang up and eat the birds, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen natural order break down.
In summary – give catnip, wait until cat is high, wash it. You should still watch the video though, if only to hear the cat object every time something positive about the procedure is mentioned.
The natural order of things doesn’t always work, as is demonstrated in this video of a fat-ass rat taking on not one, not two, not three, not four, but five alley cats. Guess who wins?
Another contender for “the best 5 second clip on the Internet”, this time featuring an otherwise majestic animal. It probably saw the original dramatic chipmunk for the first time.
It’s a bit NSFW, but don’t let that stop you from taking a look at the comical homage Jay Kila has paid to Maru, that charming little fat-assed cat who is more than a little obsessed with boxes.
The best reason to own a cat: It can go face-to-face against an alligator without fear, and without ending up inside the reptile’s stomach. We are dying to know the context behind this video.
How many times do you see this driving down the highway? How about never. Yep, that’s a horse in the back seat of a car. How’d they get him in there? We don’t know. At least he’s not driving.
Maru likes boxes. This cat doesn’t care if the box is short, tall, small, or tiny, he’s gonna figure out a way to get inside of it. Our favorite has to be his graceful entrance into the skinny bunny box.
These kittens had Fainting Goat Syndrome, which caused them to fall over at the slightest sound or movement. Sadly, both of them passed away after the video was posted. A moment of silence…
The Southern White-faced Owl has a couple of creepy transformations, but it’s got nothing on the Mimic Octopus. This strange cephalopod can copy the look of 15 species, from snakes to shrimps.
In Soviet Russia, the hamsters are in control. Two guys come face-to-face with the most dangerous hamster you’ve ever seen. The whole thing reminds us of the killer-rabbit from Holy Grail.
Your barbaric dog isn’t dumb, it’s just untrained. With the right training and some more love, your dog can transform from an infinite noise generating indoor poop machine to a trusty helper like Jesse.
This Canada goose is one crazy bird. We don’t know if it hated the uploader’s boat or his dog, but the goose is very lucky that it wasn’t killed or hurt badly despite all the ruckus it caused.
A BBC Earth crew was shooting footage when a grizzly bear got within just feet of their shoot. Luckily, they knew exactly what to do while the menacing beast went about its business. Nothing.
