The Subaru Forester’s 2025 redesign impresses. It’s a great compact SUV, one for the masses (at least compared to its history, in which it was better for people who like forests more than people). It’s a thoughtful evolution with a new platform and body that works its proportions like a Pixar mom to stuff the most possible… sass… into that robust rear end. 

It’s been 15 years since Toyota fully redesigned the 4Runner, but it looks like it was worth the wait. The 2025 4Runner has a sharp, chiseled new look that matches the new Tacoma and two new engines – including a robust i-FORCE MAX hybrid. Rugged Trailhunter and deluxe Platinum grades join the SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, and TRD Pro this time.

With the 2025 Cadillac CT5, the legendary American carmaker continues to redefine luxury with a bolder enhancement of the current model. Cadillac built its reputation by building great luxury sedans so it’s gratifying to see the legendary brand recommit to improving this gem of a modern sport sedan.

The 2025 Lincoln Aviator has an eye-catching new front end with a large mesh grille, available pixel LED headlights, wraparound running lights, and a 400 hp turbo V6 under the hood. BlueCruise hands-free highway driving and the new Lincoln Digital Experience UI are standard. Our fave is the Black Label Special Edition with its black roof, 22″ wheels, and trim.

Toyota expands its upscale Crown line with the first crossover SUV to bear the badge. The 2025 Crown Signia has a sleek style, and a 243 hp AWD hybrid powertrain that gets 36 MPG. Its cabin is designed for quiet and comfort, and has a large cargo area with fold-flat rear seats. Plus, it’s packed with tech including a digital instrument panel and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

The most potent version of the 2025 MINI Countryman packs a 2.0L turbo-4 that makes 312 hp. It has MINI’s ALL4 AWD system and does 0-to-60 in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. It rolls on 19″ or 20″ wheels with performance tires and has quad exhaust tips and JCW badging. Notably, the new Countryman is 5.1″ longer and 2.4″ taller than the prior model.

Hyundai takes the Santa Fe and reinvents it as a boxy, Defender-esque SUV for adventure seekers. Its elongated wheelbase, tall roofline, and fold-flat seats provide plentiful space for people and cargo, while its modern cabin offers a curved dual-screen display and available Nappa leather. We dig the H-shaped headlights, though we’re not sold on its backside.
