(PG-13: Language) The upcoming Nintendo Switch title Super Mario Odyssey sets part of the game in the big city. While we wait for the actual game to be released, YouTuber CrowbCat did his best to approximate what we can expect using Grand Theft Auto IV mods.

For his first game on the new Nintendo Switch, Mario heads off on an adventure of epic proportions, from expansive urban settings, to colorful and cartoony worlds we’re more used to seeing our plumber in.

Artist WUZU clay made the cutest little sculpture of a Nintendo Game Boy / Game Boy Advance hybrid. They built the display inside a metal tin with an acrylic control section and working switches, then sculpted the game’s D-Pad, buttons, and characters out of polymer clay with magnets to hold them in place.

The Rainbow Road levels are some of the most memorable in the Mario Kart games. Mutch Games built a real-world replica of the SNES course with LED lighting and mechanized Thwomps. He combined the track with gameplay footage using the Switch AR game Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. He’s built several other levels too.
