Assassin’s Creed III (Gameplay)
No Redcoat or brown bear is safe from new protagonist Connor and his order’s trademark freerunning and quick stabbing ways. This Assassin has more in common with Rambo than with rogues.

Say goodbye to Italy and Ezio. AC3 will take place in 18th century North America, the colonies and the British Empire on the brink of war. Will we get to fight George Washington? (Thanks Everyone!)
While old man Ezio is preparing to close out his trilogy with a bang, his younger version jumps on the fighting game crossover bandwagon, joining the weapon-based warriors of Soul Calibur V.
Teaser for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. The franchise seeks to tie loose ends as an older, wiser Ezio Auditore traces the footsteps of the legendary Altair. Also promises better multiplayer.
Gorgeously animated with Corel Painter, Assassin’s Creed: Initiation is a fan-made short film; it delves into Altair’s past, showing his last rite of passage before gaining the title of Assassin.
A dozen awesome trailers and a short film later, Assassin’s Creed II is finally available; this cinematic trailer launches the game and ends with a final, glorious knife-fight montage.
TV spots for games are a dime a dozen, but we like the morbid creativity of this Eyes of Death ad for Assassin’s Creed II; it shows the lives of Ezio’s victims flashing before his eyes.
Ezio may work alone, but he’s not without friends in not-so-high places: this Factions trailer shows how courtesans, mercenaries, and thieves play into the plot of Assassin’s Creed 2.
Like father, like son: Ezio’s dad Giovanni gets real blood on his hands with Assassin’s Creed: Lineage, a series of three live-action short films that’ll be released on YouTube starting 10/27.
Ezio may be raking in the dough this Fall, but Altair will be scoring candy on Halloween: this Assassin’s Creed gear is pricey but realistic, including the ultra-sweet extension knife.
If you’ve been wondering what the heck Ezio’s deal is, this Destiny trailer for Assassin’s Creed II not only fills in the blanks but shows off his bad-guy gutting skills. Thanks, Jasen!
Yes, yes, and yes: this Walkthrough Trailer for Assassin’s Creed II shows its badass appeal isn’t all smoke bombs and mirrors, with over six minutes of developer-guided gameplay.
This Visions of Venice trailer for Assassin’s Creed II makes Ezio look like the ultimate badass: the dude dual-wields weapons, leaps from tall buildings and hang glides Da Vinci style.
Assassin’s Creed II gets even better with this Power to the People trailer; alongside a new economic system, you’ll get to work with thieves and mercs, as well as Machiavelli and da Vinci.
The US gets its own Assassin’s Creed II Collector’s Edition, courtesy Gamestop; it’ll include an 8.5″ Ezio statue, artbook, two single-player maps, metal case and DVD with soundtrack.
The developers dish the dirt on Ezio, Assassin’s Creed II’s new troubled protagonist and eagle-eyed super assassin; dude’s got issues, but you would too if you lived his life.

A sample single player assassination mission from Assassin’s Creed Unity. The series is progressing towards loose approaches to fulfilling objectives, and the game’s visuals are certainly impressive. Sadly the AI is as dumb as ever.
The official debut trailer of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The game is about Connor’s grandfather Edward Kenway, “a brash rebel pirate assassin” plying the waters of the Caribbean in 1715.
Here’s a less silly take on Assassin’s Creed by Devin Graham, featuring Ronnie Shalvis. The parkour is still a little over-the-top, but it’s still fun to see how Connor might move in real life.
Inspired by the new Assassin’s Creed game Valhalla, the swordsmiths from That Works created a real-life replica of the badass Viking axe that’s front and center in Boss Logic’s game art. We love the detailing on the engraved logo and weathered finish that makes it look like it’s seen some serious battle action.
A group of stunt actors perform a series of routines in the fighting styles of five video game series, Assassin’s Creed, Metal Gear, Witcher, Uncharted, and our personal fave, God of War. The sound design is a little over the top, but the fight choreography is spot on. (Thanks Micah!)
