Chrysler looks to the future with the Halcyon Concept. The battery-electric sedan has a sleek, aerodynamic design and a minimalistic cockpit. The vehicle showcases three of Stellantis‘ next-gen technologies: STLA Brain, SmartCockpit, and AutoDrive, working in concert to improve driving experiences, whether with a human pilot or in self-driving modes.

As a technology testbed, the Halcyon envisions the use of wireless power transfer tech and uses 800V lithium-sulfur EV batteries, which have a significantly lower carbon footprint than today's EV batteries. In addition, STLA AutoDrive will provide Level 4 autonomous driving, and its Brain and SmartCockpit tech prepare the Halcyon for the day by automatically setting the cabin's climate based on weather and driver preferences. It also can synchronizing with the driver's calendar to map out GPS routes.Chrysler Halcyon Concept

The design incorporates a butterfly-hinged canopy overhead and "red-carpet" side doors with no "B" pillar in between to create an open and airy feeling. For cargo hauling versatility, its rear seats can retract into the trunk area.Chrysler Halcyon Concept

Its intentionally sparse and relaxing interior is made from 95 percent sustainable materials, and has a yoke style steering wheel that retracts when in autonomous mode. At night, passengers can enjoy a Stargazing mode that shows information about stars and constellations on the augmented reality windshield. Chrysler Halcyon Concept
