The Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept isn’t something you’ll be able to drive on the road, but players of Gran Turismo 7 will soon get to drive this sleek hybrid race car with 1071 hp and 986 lb-ft. of torque, driven by a V6 with a 10,000 RPM redline and a Yasa E motor.

Mazda teases the future of sports cars with the beautifully sleek and aerodynamic Iconic SP concept car. The 365-horsepower hybrid electric car has a mid-mounted rotary engine that generates power for an electric motor. It’s got billionaire doors and pop-up headlights and looks every bit as good as a Ferrari.
Toyota is showing off a high-performance sports car that brings back mid-engine MR2 memories. But the FT-Se runs on battery power and has electric motors. It has a sleek, aerodynamic design and can send tremendous amounts of torque to the rear wheels for serious drifting. Inside, it has a minimalist dashboard and an F1-style steering wheel.
Over two decades after Honda sold its last Prelude, the automaker turned up at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 with a new Prelude Concept that looks close to production-ready. Honda left us hanging in terms of specs, only mentioning that it’s an electric sports car and it will launch sometime this decade.
Mercedes’ sleek concept car pays tribute to the 300 SL Gullwing and C 111 Concept while looking ahead. Its curvy body is designed to optimize aerodynamics, while its electric drivetrain provides speed and efficiency. Inside, you’ll find cool touches like an F1-style steering wheel, shiny quilted silver seats, and a dot-matrix screen that spans the dashboard.
Providing a glimpse at Nissan’s future, the Japanese automaker revealed a striking concept for a zero-emissions convertible. The electric two-seater is designed for dynamic and spirited driving and features a minimal cockpit with an ultrawide digital display. The video shows a rendering, but Nissan built a real-world model too.
Luxury automaker Genesis is showing off this gorgeous electric convertible concept. Its sleek, long wheelbase design combines classic roadster forms with modern styling. Its folding hardtop roof has an integrated moonroof to give the cabin an open feel even with the top up. Fingers crossed they put it into production.
Famed Italian design studio Pininfarina turns its eye towards the future with a sleek and aerodynamic concept car. It would be powered by an electric drivetrain developed by Benteler, and features a flexible seating layout that allows the driver to swivel around for conversation when the vehicle is in autonomous mode.
