A sidescrolling survival game, This War of Mine sees you as ordinary citizens just trying to survive during wartime. The game isn’t perfect – e.g. you can’t directly talk to or interact with other people – but it’s a truly compelling experience.

The gameplay trailer for upcoming Korean action MMORPG LostArk makes Diablo III look like a poor man’s clone. The spectacle starts at 1:50 and never lets up. There are plans to make it available internationally as well.

Telltale Games takes their tried and tested point-and-click adventure format to Pandora in Tales from the Borderlands. The game stars a Hyperion employee and a Pandoran swindler who team up to steal a huge stash of cash.

The Grid lets you stream PC games at 720p. The demo is free from 11/18/14 to 6/30/15 but only works on the Shield Tablet and Shield portable, though we wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes available on other devices down the road.

A turn-based tactical RPG set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Space Hulk Ascension is a spinoff of the Space Hulk board game (which also has a digital version), with new weapons, enemies and RPG mechanics such as leveling and equipment.

Rico Rodriguez will make his way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows in 2015 with Just Cause 3. Developer Avalanche Studios hopes to give the game “a fine balance between outright stupid and fun.”

The cinematic trailer for Blizzard’s upcoming team-based first-person shooter Overwatch. It’s worth watching even if you’re not planning on playing the game, as it’s a short film on its own. What we want to know is, will there be hats?

A spinoff of a minigame in Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Wii U sees the pudgy hero and his partner Toadette search for gold stars on miniature levels. How can you not help a guy that cute?

Nintendo announced the port of Link’s dark Nintendo 64 adventure with this appropriately creepy trailer. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D will be released for the Nintendo 3DS & 2DS on Spring 2015.

If you longed for the times when Diablo was actually creepy, check out Eitr. It’s an upcoming indie action RPG inspired by Blizzard’s series as well as Dark Souls. The art style and the sound effects are pretty neat if you ask us. More here.

(NSFW: Language, Gore) The rumors were true. The ports of Grand Theft Auto V for PC, PS4 and Xbox One will let you toggle between third- and first-person mode. The latter will have new animations, interfaces and control schemes.

Jason Scott and the folks at the Internet Archive made a Javascript version of a console emulator and used that to port about 900 classic arcade games, all playable (albeit with some glitches) right in your web browser.

We’re not sure how Amplitude Studios pulled it off, but they finished another stellar game alongside the addicting Endless Legend. Dungeon of the Endless is a humorous and challenging sci-fi rouge-like with tower defense elements.
