Founded in 1815 on the wild, remote Scottish Isle of Islay, Ardbeg whisky has an irrepressible spirit with a ‘rollercoaster’ history that survived against the odds after shuttering in 1981. Eight years later, new owners rescued the distillery, and the stills sang once more. The Ardbeg The Rollercoaster handcrafted wooden box marks the distillery’s new era.
The Rollercoaster embodies Ardbeg’s up-and-down history. The Scottish oak gift edition houses two bottles: one from the last cask of 1981 and one of the first casks of 1989, marking Ardbeg’s new beginning. Like a time capsule, it’s a touching symbol of the Distillery's triumphant resurrection. Limited to just 143 boxes, and priced at £85000 / 100000 €.
