VinFast Auto didn’t just stand out at CES 2024 for its unexpected reveal of its futuristic VF Wild electric pickup truck concept. The young Vietnamese company also launched its DrgnFly electric bike just one year after its initial showcase.
Designed in collaboration with Eskild Hansen (a Red Dot Design winning Danish studio) DrgnFly's vintage design is inspired by the golden era of motorcycles. Its V-shaped, elongated frame that VinFast says is a nod to the image of a flying dragon with deep roots in the history of Thang Long, Vietnam. 
The DrgnFly resembles a BMX bike a wide handlebar, balloon tires, multiple riding modes, and an ergonomic riding position. The exposed, detachable lithium-ion battery pack is integrated into the aluminum frame and boasts a driving range of up to 63 miles when fully juiced.
The DrgnFly’s 750W engine is located in the rear wheel, powering the bike to a top speed of 28 mph. An embedded 4G connection and companion app offers a range of smart features, including riding modes, remote locking/bike locator (GPS), ride statistics, remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates. Pricing is expected at $2,800.
