Awesome Wild West

Italo Vegliante is an actor and musician who starred in Italian B-movies back in the 1980s. More recently, he’s used his talents to a create unique style that incorporates whistling, mouth sounds, and acoustic guitar. Here’s his fun tribute to the master of Wild West soundtracks, Ennio Morricone. He also created this piece of Internet gold.

Most of what we know about America’s “Wild West” we learned from Deadwood and Hell on Wheels. But as Mental Floss‘ John Green teaches us, there’s lots of other stuff that movie and TV tropes typically leave out. Robot camels on Westworld sounds like a fun idea.

Ironically, the weakest part of this John Marsten trailer for Red Dead Redemption is the voice acting of John himself; it’s otherwise a fantastic look at Rock Star’s gunslingin’ Wild West RPG.
