After seeing Cody from WhistlinDiesel ride his jet-powered merry-go-round, model maker Boylei Hobby Time wanted to commemorate the stunt in miniature form. He 3D printed a tiny jet engine, then built a Lexan base for its motor drive, and fabricated a turntable from foam board. The finishing touch was a mini version of Cody holding on for dear life.

WhistlinDiesel has moved on from modding cars to tampering with playground equipment. After strapping a 7000 hp jet engine to his monster truck, Cody Detwiler and his pals tried the same with a playground merry-go-round. It takes a moment to get up to speed, but once it gets going, it’s nearly unstoppable.

Say what you will about YouTuber WhistlinDiesel’s automotive jackassery; the dude knows how to make entertaining videos. His environmentally unfriendly Monstermax diesel truck recently received an upgrade, making it the hottest toy in town. The monster pickup now rocks a 2500 hp Viper 11 fighter jet engine to help drive it in the snow.

Launching cars quickly on a drag strip depends on horsepower, grip, and driver reaction time. That’s not quite the case in this video from WhistlinDiesel. For his latest bit of automotive jackassery, the car-destroying YouTuber purchased 7000 feet of industrial-strength rubber tubing and used it to see how much boost the slingshot could add.

When WhistlinDiesel isn’t accidentally lighting his Ferrari on fire, he’s torture-testing cars or modifying them in stupid ways. This video definitely falls into the latter category. For this build, Cody and his pals took a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, strapped it to a pontoon boat, and attached paddles to its rear axle. It seems to be better at splashing water than going fast.

Americans like their trucks big, but in most countries, pickup trucks aren’t as common or as large. Just for fun, WhistlinDiesel ordered the smallest truck he could find and tested its hauling, off-road capability, and durability. The truck costs around $2500 in China, but shipping and importing brings the cost to over $11,000.

Cody from WhistlinDiesel has made a name for himself by pushing cars and trucks to their limits. Recently, he got his hands on a Tesla Model 3 and subjected it to various punishments, from summoning it through a garage door to outfitting it with massive wagon wheels and driving it upside-down.

If you own a fancy sports car, you might store it beneath a tarp. WhistlinDiesel got their hands on something much more fun. The Car Capsule is an inflatable dome that creates a protective cushion of air around your ride. While it’s not totally puncture-proof, this short clip shows it holding up to all kinds of torture.

If you’re going to drive a high horsepower muscle car like a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, you usually want to have some nice fat tires to maximize grip. So the very idea of a Hellcat riding on horse-and-buggy wheels seems ludicrous. But this is the internet – and where there’s a will, there’s a way, as WhistlinDiesel demonstrates.
