Awesome The Lion King

To celebrate 25 years on Broadway, the cast and musicians of The Lion King stopped by the NPR offices to perform a series of songs from the award-winning musical. Their warm and enveloping performance of songs like Circle of Life, They Live in You, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight will bring sunshine to even the darkest day. HAKUNA MATATA!

Queen B’s “Black is King” is a cinematic visual album inspired by “The Lion King.” Beyonce’s most ambitious project yet infuses elements of black history with an empowering message for young kings and queens seeking identity, and co-starring roles for Jay-Z, Lupita Nyong’o, and Naomi Campbell. Premieres 7.31.20 on Disney+.

“It’s a meaningless line of indifference.” Let’s face it. An all-CGI remake of the animated classic The Lion King was a bad idea from the moment it was born in some executive boardroom. As expected, Screen Junkies simply annihilates this soulless showcase for uncannily realistic singing animals. Disney, please stop the madness.

“While others search for what they can take, a true king searches for what he can give.” Disney is about to introduce the Circle of Life to a new generation. The realistic computer animated remake of The Lion King premieres 7/19/19.
