Photographers Dustin Snipes and Mason Mashon teamed up to capture amazing images of the 2024 solar eclipse with the help of Red Bull aerobatic pilots Kevin Coleman and Pete McCleod. It took weeks of planning and precise calculations to pull off the perfect shot, and the pilots had to fly at a low altitude and just four feet apart as the eclipse reached totality.

Back in 2015, Faroe Islands doom metal band Hamferð performed a moody, acoustic version of their track Deyðir varðar while a solar eclipse played out behind their backs. They timed the live performance perfectly and managed to resist the urge to turn around as day turned to night and back. (Thanks Kartin!)
